I just received the Dell U2410 by post. Gonna test it out, hopefully calibrate it by tonight, then write a review on it in the next few days. So far so good although I'm not 100% impressed. Tried 30" but still think the u2711 is better~

QUOTE(CoffeeDude @ May 18 2010, 08:53 AM) I'm considering between U2211H and U2311H. Is there a noticeable difference between 21.5" and 23"? i was considering 24" and 21.5" ST series from Dell and was very happy to get 21.5" due to the distance the monitor is away from me~ this distance will determine the quality of your viewing due to angels away from the centre making the sizes of objects skewed and colours fade (like white becoming beige and lower levels of brightness)~ for this distance, feel free to go to LYP to try out other monitors~ I advise u to request for face paced movies~ I tend to miss out the sides of the 21.5" if I sit 1 foot away and at about 1 1/2 feet away, it is the sweet spot for me as I don't like to miss out the edges during a movie~ also, due to pixel sizes when a screen becomes big (and resolution staying the same), I will say that it is not the bigger the better unless u have Full HD materials or use Windows most of the time (though even when using Windows, you may have to sit further away as compared to usual to see two ends of the screen at the same time, like for picture preview or icon search)~ please write a review if u are purchasing U series from Dell~ I'm interested to know how it fairs as well~

I'm gonna hook up another monitor to do some comparisons now. I just calibrated it and the colors seem accurate enough. Overall I'm pretty satisfied with my purchase. Do you own an UltraSharp panel yourself, gto87?

If everything goes well, I'm getting one next month, tempted after testing the u2711 at my brother's place. He has both 3008WFP and U2711, the colors are better in u2711 but I really love the 30" for it's size. ~ So how was your 24" bro~ Are you impressed with it now?

QUOTE(mcchin @ May 19 2010, 11:39 AM) Yeah, some... thing... like this... but I need more detail on the impression on the monitor panel itself, yeap~ Backlight bleeding test, important, whole dark room if possible, use blank screen saver + max brightness, contrast. Of course you can take shot from different angle and see if the monitor stands up to the advertised 178 degree viewing angle. Can also use some monitor color test program or any good tools to show the color accuracy
