QUOTE(sexualpower @ May 13 2010, 11:08 AM) i advise u to check Samsung although I've only 1 Dell monitor, only satisfied and nothing spectacular~ Full HD don't matter if there isn't any Full HD content being viewed~ if not mistaken, blue ray is the only content that can reach full HD and I don't think there is any content material for 720P and above other than that except Youtube~ 5ms is not good enough for movie (worse for gaming)~ I'm using ST2210~ Adeh~ I did use LCds with 2ms and 5ms response before and there was extremely minor difference between both quality in playing games let, now for movies 8ms is still the best~ Full HD all the way guys, once you watched the real quality of Blu Ray, you'll never turn back~ hehe.(and I'm not talking about that crappy 1080p download-able movies if you know what I mean)

QUOTE(objectifyme @ May 18 2010, 03:22 PM) I just received the Dell U2410 by post. Gonna test it out, hopefully calibrate it by tonight, then write a review on it in the next few days. So far so good although I'm not 100% impressed. How much you got it for and how long is the warranty service for your unit? Iinm, the u2410 and u2711 is the best IPS panel offered by Dell. Tried 30" but still think the u2711 is better~

QUOTE(objectifyme @ May 18 2010, 07:40 PM) I got a refurbished set so the warranty only lasts for 3 days. I got it for around RM 12xx. I'm gonna hook up another monitor to do some comparisons now. I just calibrated it and the colors seem accurate enough. Overall I'm pretty satisfied with my purchase. Do you own an UltraSharp panel yourself, gto87? If everything goes well, I'm getting one next month, tempted after testing the u2711 at my brother's place. He has both 3008WFP and U2711, the colors are better in u2711 but I really love the 30" for it's size. ~ So how was your 24" bro~ Are you impressed with it now?

QUOTE(kianwee @ May 26 2010, 03:14 PM) I haven't found the time to play with my new 2311H yet, honestly speaking the backlight bleed turns me off a little. The initial plan was to sell my 2209WA and replace it with this new 2311H. Thank God I didn't. From the looks of it I'm going to stick to my old 2209WA, which I agree that the factory setting is overly bright. What I did was tune down both contrast and brightness from the stock 75 to 50. That ease my eyes a bit. This weekend I'll try to tune my 2311H, if it doesn't works for me, it'll be in my wife's office or the garage sale pretty soon. how bad is the backlight bleeding? Can you post some pictures, I'm sorry but I looked through your post but there's no pict. I'm planning on getting one so need your help~ THanks man~

Is it wise to change from s2409w to the dell 23" ips panel considering that I love to play FPS and Racing games a lot plus I watch alot of Full HD movies.
The reason I asked is because, I'm worried that the 8ms response time gonna effect my viewing. Ghosting sucks but since I'm moving from 5ms to 8 ms, will I really notice the difference?
I read a lot reviews, some say they notice the difference but the other were saying the exact opposite.

QUOTE(BeastX @ Aug 17 2010, 04:51 PM) Human eyes and brains differ from one person to the next..... I your eyesight and your brain register superfast... you maybe annoyed... Best advise is to test it out with your own eyes, get a friend's/family or return/refund the monitor within a week (for Dell?)Is it possible to get a full refund within a week? If it's possible then I may give it a try. EDIT: Is it full refund? Any TnC that I should know about. Damn, Dell customer service online chat is until 5pm only. I'll try ask them tomorrow. But in the mean time, if anybody here have the answer, let me know. thanks in advance~ This post has been edited by gto87: Aug 17 2010, 05:28 PM

QUOTE(nightshade_nova @ Oct 7 2010, 06:21 AM) 120hz monitors, if you play full hd movies, sometimes looks like a recorded stage play, movement feels like the movie was recorded live. ... and I freakin hate it. Soap Drama effect is not for me I guess.. 120Hz Lcds are good for HD sports channel especially for soccer and football. EDIT: Saw some that ordered online got their LCD already, since Dell restocked the u2311 LCD, I think this would be the best time to get it, right? Or should I wait a bit longer?
