QUOTE(reign226 @ Nov 28 2010, 11:59 PM) Haha...damn a lot of new rigs going to sembcorp lately. bought myself a 23" monitor.Seems like many people go back to KL often hor? Should start a carpool club edi =P Anybody went to Sitex this weekend? Crazy jam people. Deals are ok ok only. Most of the ppl there target herd mentality, see other ppl buy then sendiri must buy also. Donno if i should be kicking myself since i got myself an acer monitor, the brochure price was 299 but i got it for 259 on saturday. I actually wanted to samsung px2370 but there wasnt any reduction in price and it cost 418. |

Main credits or Happy 128 credits? Main credits can last up to 6 months and will be deducted if you are connected to internet via your phone/do roaming. Happy 128 credits expire after 50 days but i doubt you can finish the local credits. Yep they won't give you reminder in topping up you gotta check via *113#.digi credit expired but after reload stil can continue to use. now my credit were CLEARED !!! QUOTE(chocolatepallette @ Nov 29 2010, 11:14 AM) I think all are pretty much similar. I'm using StarHub and so far so good. I purchase main credits (for online and roaming) and Happy 128 credits (for local and IDD calls). They give a lot of free local and global SMS (only valid on the same day) once you reach a certain quota of the day. Not sure about the rest but i heard that SingTel doesn't allow prepaid users to go online, i could be wrong though. This post has been edited by Argiope: Nov 29 2010, 12:43 PM |

QUOTE(asoka007 @ Nov 29 2010, 02:34 PM) Your not working for sembawang shipyard are you?I heard from the transocean that sembawang shipyard charges them a ridiculous amount of money for services rendered to them, not to mention the docking charges. Its way cheaper for them to hire the necessary people themselves and do it in malaysia. Oddly enough, its cheaper to hire a fitter and a welder to fly from the US to do the job rather then an indian or bangla worker employed by the singaporean shipyard. QUOTE(reign226 @ Nov 29 2010, 08:33 PM) Going back to? I'm looking for ppl who go back to KL regularly during weekends =P. Nah, what malaysia should follow is singapores model whereby they have the facilities to do everything. Except at a rather high price for cheap manual labour.Together with Keppel, these two companies are well known in the world of rig construction. Well if that's the case then Malaysia still have hope =) One of transoceans ship is doing the rest of their retrofitting in malaysia after doing the major work singapore since its getting more expensive since sembawang overcharges them for services rendered when it can be way cheaper to hire contractors directly rather then go through sembawang shipyard and pay their shipyard rate. Another benefit is the quality of work that transocean can get from hiring people they know who will do a proper job instead of only using what sembawang gives them. Since sembawang pockets a large chunk of the money, what little is left from the contract goes to manpower companies who further squeeze profits from it, thereby paying very low wages to their workers who in turn do a shoddy job since their paid so lowly when their employers can pay them so much more, but won't.
