Working condition in keppel depends on whether keppel department, be it project, finance or QA is trying to be funny. This usually happens in keppel tuas.

I do some surveys from time to time, it really depends on whether the ship docks at which shipyard. If they dock at keppel tuas, then i have to goto keppel tuas and put up with the usual crap. Most of my clients prefer that i do deal directly to them but keppel policy state that if the ship docks there, any surveys or job done in the shipyard has to go through the keppel, not directly to the "owner" of the ship which is preferable for me and my client since keppel tend to jack up the price and pay a pittance to contractors.

Jurong island is rather flexible since i deal with exxonmobil projects under another firm.

Im a contractor, i dont work as a direct employee of the shipyard, i do some work on behalf of the yard for clients who have ships currently in the shipyard for repair or conversion projects.
