small case compare to those large LCD screen at the airport. Can consider bring in higher value item next time.
*

Yup and remove the price tag etc. If the custom officers ask just tell them it's a used item otherwise you have to pay GST. I drove my PC and LCD in they asked whether it's new i said no then they let me go.

Go scout around first before making drastic decision, the country is nice, good technology, cheaper cost of living (i can still find S$1.50 lunch in Benoi) but rental is the killer and i think during the 1st week you need to get a good pair of shoes for walking  biggrin.gif if you are a guy, girls here are hot but not beautiful, penang girls are beautiful but not hot. Some sg Guys are good looking but i am not sure whether they are gay.. hahaha... try converting our malaysia "la" to "le" and always use the word "jia lat lo" you will be a singaporean soon.

If your a guy, you'll know that their gay a mile away.

Yea well but i'm a female. Just sharing how horrible is it to walk that much in high heels, if you are not used to walking to work. You definitely want to get a pair of good heels or walk in flats instead.

Not necessary. One may apply for Personalised Employment Pass (PEP).

Aisheh fret not! That's for P1 pass holders. P2 and Q1 pass holders are eligible to apply - as long as you have the years of working experience needed + salary of $2.5k/month.

West Malaysians only if they give up PR after 55. Everyone else, anytime they give up PR regardless of age.

By "everyone else", you mean East Malaysians as well?

Yes, because when Malaysia and Singapore was 1 country back then and Sabah and Sarawak have not gain independence, so East Malaysian are not affected.
*

Ahhh i see. Didn't know that's the reason. Thanks for the info.

can u list down which bus stop got such advertisement for room?
*

You are really funny. There are tons of bus stops with such ads, so do you expect rickysim84 to list down 1 by 1 for you?
If you want a room, can you at least make some effort? Just go to whatever area you want to rent and have a look.

EPEC allows you to apply for Long Term Visit Pass (LTVP) - in order to stay in SG for up to 1 year to look for jobs, without having to leave SG every 30 days (when your social visit pass is due).

If i'm not mistaken, EPEC is free of charge. However, LTVP costs $90, additional $40 if your social visit pass has a validity of less than 10 days.

There was this fat landlord who wanted to rent a room out of the three bedroom apartment and the landlord slept in the living room coz that persons excuse is that the rental money is her income. and like most typical landlords, you can only use the washin machine once a week, lights out at 11pm and if you have a pc, you have to goto the nearby mcdonalds to leech their electicity supply since she wont tolerate you sucking up the PUB bill, even though its "supposed" to be inclusive of rental.

Just be sure and tell them it's not new.

That's common. A few friends of mine have already given up their Malaysian citizenship. And some claimed that the process of returning IC, passport etc is very fast.

LOL, UMMO must be very very happy those Chinese convert to a Singaporean.

Pls mind that if u have converted to a Singaporean, ur chance of converting back to a Malaysian is virtually equal to zero.
*

My thoughts exactly.

Have anyone experience before when u bought a bus ticket to/fro SG, and for some reason, not enuf customers for ur schedule, and on that last minute travelling day itself, they tell u canceled or reschedule it to a later time (combining it with the next schedule)?

I haven't experience it, but just wondering if any has such experience b4 and which bus company?
*

First Coach also won't cancel the trip even if you are the only passenger.
