Let me have the honor.
Yes, 308T FC is quite high (I only speak for my 308T). 100% *city driving almost reach 13L/100KM. The best I could get is around 12L/100KM. Long distance traveling on normal, smooth traffic (not on highway), the FC is around 8L/100KM.
The AL4 gearbox really doesn't do justice for 308T. Quite hard to predict its behaviour. I rarely use the tiptronic mode (although it's really fun to drop a gear and floor the accerelator

)
@StarGhazzer,
What you'd said is true. It's almost impossible to use the 4th gear if the speed is below 70KM/h. But it can be done if you're using the tiptronic. Try rev the car close to 3K and upshift the gear. But it's so bothersome, so I just leave it in D and let the car doing all the shifting
And yes, at 100KM/h, the RPM is around 2.5/2.6K. But the noise is kept to minimal.
And for those who wants to know the top speed, it's around 215KM/h.
Since this is Forte thread, I'll stop now

The Pug's autobox is really annoying. I'm doing what you have done; leaving it in D most of the time... only using shifttronic to "force" upshifts when the autobox is reluctant to (and stays at 3K rpm). Unlike Forte where I'm using shifttronic 100% of the time. The most annoying thing is the box's insistence to downshift to 3rd gear once the speed is below 60kmh... which means you'll be driving at high rpms most of the time in busy city roads. You can't even force the box to stay at 4th in shifttronic mode. It WILL downshift.
Wind noise is actually better than the Forte. Engine noise is kept to a minimum although I think Peugeot deliberately allowed the turbocharger whirl noise to enter the cabin for more ummph. This is something that the Theta II cannot offer.

And the end of the day, I think the Forte is easier to live with although the thrill of driving a turbocharged car is a satisfying experience. Come on Kia, throw in a turbocharger for the Koup.
