Hi Everyone

Yes, I am going to Pahang this Thursday, GPS, checked, luggage, checked, boxes with holes for FS, checked, five (5) nicely folded leaves given by Bro Ura, checked, super large zip locked bag given by Bro Ura, checked, cricket, checked, ML sized sample Fs, checked. Yes, I am ready.

Well, this is actually a family meet family trip. I last went there about 15 years ago. I still remember one place where I together with my Pahang friend effortless caught 7-8 FS, fought them and release them. It was like the lily area of Nir#### type of feel.

I really hope to catch good sized FS to give the NT# FS a good fight. Hope it does not rain .....

Your Exspiderking

Randy

Aaargh...so that is Brolly, a character from street fighter (think so). Brolly the FS totally destroyed my beloved Valour. shakehead.gif

Think Brolly the character has a bit of my physique ... Hee Hee  rclxms.gif

Anyway I will work harder to get another FS for a good rematch.

I went for my cousin wedding dinner at JB last Sat and after dinner i went to SG. icon_idea.gif
Eventho i'm pack with activities like visiting to Sitex Exp, Marina Sands, Orchard road, my relatives and friends, i'm happy bcoz able to meet up with some SG fs kakis for some gathering.
I didnt have any FS to fight so just meet up for chit chat.

Went to FarmMart for prawn fishing with Bro Ken and Vincent. Bro Ken also getting pro in catching prawn besides hunting for FS. He managed to caught several big prawns.
We chit chat and hang out till about 2am tat night. tongue.gif Its good to catch up with u guys after quite some time since we met in Feb this year.

I also met up with Bro Randy, Ura and my other SG friend: Collin yesterday night for dinner. Bro Randy treat us all for a sumptous seafood dinner at Long Beach East coast. Thanks you.
Next time when u guys come KL, i'll treat seafood also.
This is the 1st time i met with Randy and Ura. Both of them are very friendly guy. I also get to see the maelworms and tiny beettle brought by Bro Randy. Looks yummy and delicious
Bro Ura also share his FS and how he keep his fs in tip fighting form. Ura have quite alot of strong FS with him more abt 10 or maybe more as he's very actively hunting for more FS.. very impressive and thanks for the effort.

hi everyone, i been catching FS since i was small coz i have not much neaighbors and surrounded by freaking alot of trees and bushes.

Nice thread u all have, keep up the good work ya, if anyone wan to share something, i will try to share what i know la.

For example, for me, the best fighting spider type is the slightly dark color one, like without the color horizon line in the forehead, coz it normally kinda more agressive.

Besides, i suggest u all go search for FS in some specific area which the predatic insect are bunched. For me la, normally the FS i catch there are better fighter and they will straight go for the kill, without placing some fighting post or waving the hand, they will bite and bite and sometimes eat their opponent.

Lastly, a good tips for u all when u all catching FS, before u approach the bushes, try stay low, duck below the bushes and wait for bout 5 mins, sometimes if u r luckly, u will found some FS hunting food and hide beneath the leaf when saw u coming.

If u r unlucky the FS u saw in the bush drop down to the floor before u can catch it, try pour some warm* (ps: hot water will kill them a!!!) or pee on the bush like me when i was small, ( i was small that time aaaaaaa), then the FS will come of after couple of 10 secs.

Hi Guys, long time no see... biggrin.gif hope everyone is fine and well, saw some of the newer posts and realized that there have been so much developments and new kakis joining in the hunts!

I have been out of action for the past few months initially due to work (cause flying ard quite often) and spending time with my wife (holidaying), and slowly begun losing touch with FS...Lol blush.gif but never did i forget the wonderful times that the FS and bros have gave me... thumbup.gif

Having Titan as my final champ has been my fortune and i hope to remain it that way...so i considered myself retiring from the FS hunts....but dont forget to chio me for gatherings.... brows.gif

Anyway, just for sharing, found myself addicted to another hobby... growing novelty orchids, just to share the orchids that i have been growing, hope you guys like it... smile.gif

Hi Bro BTL, it's Great to see your posting here after such a long absence! biggrin.gif

I am glad that you found a new hobby, and you really have a Splendid Macro Shot of Orchid Flower there. Maybe next time you can share with us more about this hobby in this forum. smile.gif

Titan is definitely one of the most Legendary FS caught since this forum started. Retiring with Titan as the final champion is indeed a good choice haha. Until now, with our intensive frequency of hunting, we still find it very difficult to obtain a size like Titan. My Largest caught FS was Royal, caught at July period. You can see his pictures at the earlier part(Pages3-4) in the forum. But i think still little bit smaller than Titan. But was also a regret becos at that time i still dunno how to keep FS strong and active for long. For now i have somehow figured out a FS rearing system that has proven that most FS can actually live for more than 2 months with sticky legs and as active like week1 in captivity. I have a FS named Spring who is going to reach his 90th Days in captivity soon, i will video him and post it soon!

Ok enough of my FS talk for now hahaha, so we shall look forward to meet up with you soon. Please continue to post in this forum, share more of your new hobby here and continue to support our FS videos ok!! rclxm9.gif

Hi Everyone

I travelled 358 kilometres to Triang, Pahang, caught 5 very very good sized Fs and is now safely home with my 5 foreign talents. rclxms.gif

I was there from 02/12/10 to 05/12/10 with my family to visit my friend Ken and his family. Here is a photo of err... a sign post that says Triang.

Attached Image

I stayed with Ken, a very good friend of close to 20 years, ken. He is Triang's exspiderking as well as Triang's version of Golden hands.

On 02/12/10 evening was my first FS hunt. We took a small motorbike to a small plot about 300 metres from where we stayed. It was a small garden with sugar cane, pandan leaves, some unknown vegatables and lots of mosquitos. Ken used the traditional kop method and caught 3 rather small FS. Alamak, all the way here just to catch Fs of this size????. doh.gif Ken assured me that there would be bigger ones and that we would hunt early tomorow morning.

03/12/10: 7.30am, ken and his 8 year old son was ready to hunt. We took the small motorbike and went to small spots around his neighbbourhood, ken, like me had not hunted for more than 30 years. The environment is totally different from SG. Over in SG, I would look for CB leaves, but there, they don even have CB leaves. They had an Fs environment perhaps like what SG was 50 years ago...small houses with small plots of land and all sorts of vegatables and fruits. The drains does not have any cement base and was at best loosely dug. These plots were often overwhelmed with very fierce battalions of mosquitos, by the thousands. As we rode in the nice morning fresh air, I was fascinated by the number of swallow birds flying about, stray dogs lazily walking, birds chirping, in particular Or Pek (magpie) birds, see Kar Chua and snakes too. We were essentially in a small town deep in Pahang where everyone knows each other or are related to each other.

Anyway, the first FS of considerable size, FS No. 1 was caught at this plot of land:-

Attached Image

We were there about 8.10am. I was not mentally prepared for the aggreesive mosquitos who were biting every inch of my body. This was despite havin sprayed generously the best repellant Beach Road army goods store could offer. Then ken gave a shout to me, big one, big one. Hidden at the right side of the tree ..about 2 metres were some hidden dumbcane leaves. I looked into the leaves and was shocked to see such big arms stretching out and the Fs actually staring, no..glaring at me. It was BIG. Then my months of Fs experience comes in handy, decision time ...to use a NTUC plastic bag, Bro Ura's giant ziplock bag or a flexible soft long net bag Mrs Exspiderking gave me. I chose the net and cut the leaves in the net. FS No.1 was accordingly caught. thumbup.gif

When FS no. 1 was walking in the net, I could not believe my eyes, here was a Fs bigger than any that I have caught and it was in my net. I managed to transfer it safely to my plastic container. Ken looked at the Fs and proclaimed that it was quite big and something he was use to. This was the first of my 5 FS. It was caught at the spot as shown in the picture above.

Then we happily proceed to our next spot.....

Its good to hear from u again Bro BTL. Eventho u no longer play FS, when u r free, u can join the other SG fs kakis for hunts or FS fights.
Just meet up for yumcha chit chat also good. biggrin.gif I also stop hunt for fs for quite long time but deep inside, i still have the desire to go hunt for large size and strong FS. Maybe when the time is right and found good FS hotspot, i will start play wif this hobby agin.

Wa.. bro Randy. From ur posting, it seems u have exciting experience hunting fs at Triang. Summore u caught 5 large size fs... Wow..tats very impressive. rclxms.gif For the mosquitoes issues, i would suggest u wear the bio-hazard type of clothes full body cover to protect from those nasty bites... biggrin.gif I normally wear long sleeves jacket, track bottom, and hat to protect myself from mosquitoes n hot sun. Maybe u can DIY a hat with transparent book wrapper cover around it to protect face and neck from the mosquitoes.

Cant wait to see ur new FS pics and fights. drool.gif

Hi Everyone..!! a hour ago, Bro Randy was at my place showing me the Huge FS he caught in Pahang.. rclxm9.gif

This Fella i shall name him as Raksasa, meaning Giant in malay. Jus now took out one of my largest FS Kage, couldnt even hold a candle to this Huge Fella. I am also very glad Bro Randy is giving me this FS as a Present. notworthy.gif

Raksasa is a newly-moulted and young FS, if he is already L-size now, 2weeks later he might even hit XL-size. I have taken some marco shots of him. But i will continue to take somemore photos and a sparring video for him at night as he is happily munching the LC worms now. Bro Randy have one more FS about this size. Which means 2 L-sizes caught there! What a Great Achievement man!! Cheers!!!

Pls Enjoy the pics~

Hi Bro Ura.

Thanks for fast uploading "Raksasa" pics and video rclxms.gif

From the pic can see the new FS size is definitle large size, big head and wide long arms. Its strong, very healthy and active also. thumbup.gif
Its even bigger than Kage when i see Kage vs Spar10 videos. Spar10 size is so much smaller than Raksasa.
Looks like it might be able to match other XL FS like Titan, Terminator, Megalodon, BigHead.
More than 8mm?

Have you try let the FS jump onto your another hand finger? Do you feel any impact when the FS landed?
Normally large size fs with big size of head and abdomen will give a strong impact feel when it land after a short distance of jump. The feel is different compare to other smaller size fs.

Good catch Bro Randy. rclxm9.gif
Have u fought it wih other large size FS u caught from Triang yet?
The best largest FS winner u keep izit? The largest one should be with u now rite? brows.gif
Do share with us the pics of the leaves where u caught these extra large size FS.

Maybe u guys can try to mate these FS with other female FS and start a FS habitat sanctuary.

3 words to Sum up my feelings right now...
Oh My God ! rclxm9.gif

Honestly speaking, after getting to know that bro Randy is heading to Malaysia(be it Pahang or anywhere else), I had a feeling he might be able to catch "THE ONE"!
I always believe Malaysia inhabit Bigger FS compared to Spore.

As what I often mention to Yuda during our active hunting days (before u guys joined this forum), I'm always searching for the "Long Arms". (& I really mean Long)
However, my search was totally in vain until I saw Terminator & Robocop, which made me believed that SG do hold Large FS.

Kudos to u bro Randy for making this trip all the way down to Pahang.
Your FS is indeed Huge, with the TradeMark Long Arms which I used to catch when I was young in Malaysia.

Since the death of Termy, Robo, Hulk, Titan & TFM, I could only Dream, that these HeavyWeights might meet each other 1 day...
Now with the help of both Randy & Ken25(TFM2), will my Dream become a Reality ?

It will continue to b a Dream..... unless they Pit Against One Another !!

My Dream Continues.........................................

This Pahang trip that Bro Randy made is indeed a fruitful trip. And this discovery is definitely a Major Contribution to our FS circle. Cos with our hot spots like NT#(due to factory construction) and P#(due to mrt construction) going to be destroyed in the months to come.. Bro Randy has found us a True 大人国(Huge FS Kingdom).

Kudos to Bro Randy very much!! notworthy.gif

Here are some more photos of Raksasa, my saliva cant help dripping drool.gif as i was taking photos of him.. rclxm9.gif

Imagine a new and young FS like him is already this size, i cant imagine 2-3weeks later with my intensive feeding of crickets, worms and flying ants.. what size he can reach.. so scary.. hahaha.. laugh.gif

Nice pics. Seeing the Raksasa pictures also makes me excited liao.. Man.. too bad i cant see it in real life like u and other SG Fs kakis.
Raksasa looks huge and well feed. Its colour from pics looks like light greenish, the type of strong FS breed.... like from Bamboo leaves where i caught Spartan. biggrin.gif

With this size of FS.. its hard for other smaller fs to match its strength.. flex.gif

Yeah Bro Viper88, i am glad that you like the photos.. smile.gif
Raksasa was caught in DumbCane plant from what i heard from Bro Randy.

For any Bro who is not sure what is DumbCane plant, this is the picture of it.. smile.gif
Attached Image

Yes.. i could feel the different impact Raksasa gave when he hopped onto my hand. So far all my FS, only Royal gave me this kind of powerful impact before.

Not to worry, even this time you cant see the Huge FS-es Bro Randy got back this time. Cos i think this is just the beginning. His Pahang friend told him that this is not the largest size there, to him is only "quite big; not very big deal", but to me is already "Goddamn Big". I suppose this size is only their ML-sizes there.. there should be some REAL KINGKONGPOW there with 3+mm head width and 8+mm body length.. Oh no.. still dripping.. drool.gif Haha.. next time we will sure go there in group as this Pahang trip was only meant as a "Recce Trip" as Bro Randy said that time before he goes. Next year when you visit SG again.. hope there will be new ones to show you.. biggrin.gif

Spartan was caught in Bamboo leaves? Must be very rare breed and strong FS also. I remember the Pakcekop Clan once told me Bamboo leaves FS are usually very strong and sizeable. thumbup.gif

Within these few days, i will photo Raksasa on the grid paper and show to the Bros! rclxm9.gif
