bro...how abt this?can fight or not????new here!!!!

Yesterday's was the first in a very long time that me & Bro Trevally dropped by PA since our almost 1yr hiatus and it felt like a trip down memory lane. It was so eerily quiet very much unlike the same time last yr when I recalled this place was a hive of FS activity with up to 8 FS bros walking up and down this same stretch, the banter, the shouts, the laughter.. Best of all, I recall with fond memories especially, the matches we had once the hunt was over.. oh well.. those were the times.. hopefully with the new kaki's like Randy, Kamal, Bensra and IZ, we might be able to revive those times.. 

Anyways back to our hunt yesterday..

I always seem to have the worst of luck at PA much unlike Trevally, who can get at least an SL/ML no matter how short the trip and yesterday was no different. We spent like no more than 2hrs there and every nest I inspected either revealed a huge Bu or a tiny Kang while Trevally was filling up his Zip lock bag with Kang after Kang.. he must have caught like 9 and one of them was a really sizeable one about SL which won all.

Bro Trevally told me he hasn't got much time to care for FS so he named it Hugo and gave it to me so that Hugo can be tried for matches with the others

The Haze has been very bad these few days.. hope by the wkend the situation will get better.

Regarding getting a champion from PA, from past history, I think only 2 people have got the luck to catch and reproduce good fighters from PA.. Missile sure showed who is boss with the newcomer F1! F1 has recovered fully from the fight. Maybe tonight F1 will try to fight with F2. I will video the fight. I got a feeling F2 got some surprises.

Holaaa.. finally sorted out laptop with servicing centre.. Team Krauser has been disbanded last Saturday due to lack of time. So the team has been released into my flowerpots along my corridor after being fed a cricket each along with some BUs to keep them entertained  I was hoping they'd survived better since my maid water the plants every morning and there are abundant ants as food for them.

This morning weather was sunny providing good lighting conditions for me to capture some stills so I went hunting in my own flowerpots! cool eh? Found Dentist where he was originally looking rather thin. So I took him out for feeding. Not surprisingly he was jumpy and escaped a few times before I captured him, fed him and placed him back.

Then some movement on the right side captured my eye.. TONG BU! and the FS looks well fed too!

Anyways was also meddling with this form of long term leaves housing for the FS based on the idea posted by Ura in his earlier posts. I used opened ended KFC straws instead with the bottom burned shut with cig lighter.

The leaves has been there since last Thursday and still looked lively   considering they aren't money plant type leaves. Also just had to top up the water in the straw like once in 4days using a used disposable syringe that I used before to feed my kids with medicine.

Trevally when is the gang fight!! name time and place!

Hi Everyone

I travelled 358 kilometres to Triang, Pahang, caught 5 very very good sized Fs and is now safely home with my 5 foreign talents. 

I was there from 02/12/10 to 05/12/10 with my family to visit my friend Ken and his family. Here is a photo of err... a sign post that says Triang.

I stayed with Ken, a very good friend of close to 20 years, ken. He is Triang's exspiderking as well as Triang's version of Golden hands.

On 02/12/10 evening was my first FS hunt. We took a small motorbike to a small plot about 300 metres from where we stayed. It was a small garden with sugar cane, pandan leaves, some unknown vegatables and lots of mosquitos. Ken used the traditional kop method and caught 3 rather small FS. Alamak, all the way here just to catch Fs of this size????.   Ken assured me that there would be bigger ones and that we would hunt early tomorow morning.

03/12/10: 7.30am, ken and his 8 year old son was ready to hunt. We took the small motorbike and went to small spots around his neighbbourhood, ken, like me had not hunted for more than 30 years. The environment is totally different from SG. Over in SG, I would look for CB leaves, but there, they don even have CB leaves. They had an Fs environment perhaps like what SG was 50 years ago...small houses with small plots of land and all sorts of vegatables and fruits. The drains does not have any cement base and was at best loosely dug. These plots were often overwhelmed with very fierce battalions of mosquitos, by the thousands. As we rode in the nice morning fresh air, I was fascinated by the number of swallow birds flying about, stray dogs lazily walking, birds chirping, in particular Or Pek (magpie) birds, see Kar Chua and snakes too. We were essentially in a small town deep in Pahang where everyone knows each other or are related to each other.

Anyway, the first FS of considerable size, FS No. 1 was caught at this plot of land:-

We were there about 8.10am. I was not mentally prepared for the aggreesive mosquitos who were biting every inch of my body. This was despite havin sprayed generously the best repellant Beach Road army goods store could offer. Then ken gave a shout to me, big one, big one. Hidden at the right side of the tree ..about 2 metres were some hidden dumbcane leaves. I looked into the leaves and was shocked to see such big arms stretching out and the Fs actually staring, no..glaring at me. It was BIG. Then my months of Fs experience comes in handy, decision time ...to use a NTUC plastic bag, Bro Ura's giant ziplock bag or a flexible soft long net bag Mrs Exspiderking gave me. I chose the net and cut the leaves in the net. FS No.1 was accordingly caught. 

When FS no. 1 was walking in the net, I could not believe my eyes, here was a Fs bigger than any that I have caught and it was in my net. I managed to transfer it safely to my plastic container. Ken looked at the Fs and proclaimed that it was quite big and something he was use to. This was the first of my 5 FS. It was caught at the spot as shown in the picture above.

Hi Everyone..!! a hour ago, Bro Randy was at my place showing me the Huge FS he caught in Pahang..

This Fella i shall name him as Raksasa, meaning Giant in malay. Jus now took out one of my largest FS Kage, couldnt even hold a candle to this Huge Fella. I am also very glad Bro Randy is giving me this FS as a Present.

Raksasa is a newly-moulted and young FS, if he is already L-size now, 2weeks later he might even hit XL-size. I have taken some marco shots of him. But i will continue to take somemore photos and a sparring video for him at night as he is happily munching the LC worms now. Bro Randy have one more FS about this size. Which means 2 L-sizes caught there! What a Great Achievement man!! Cheers!!!

This Pahang trip that Bro Randy made is indeed a fruitful trip. And this discovery is definitely a Major Contribution to our FS circle. Cos with our hot spots like NT#(due to factory construction) and P#(due to mrt construction) going to be destroyed in the months to come.. Bro Randy has found us a True 大人国(Huge FS Kingdom).

Imagine a new and young FS like him is already this size, i cant imagine 2-3weeks later with my intensive feeding of crickets, worms and flying ants.. what size he can reach.. so scary.. hahaha..

Bro Kamal: Your wish to see Kingkong FS. Well, I suppose Bro Ura posting photo and video of Raksasa has somewhat fullfilled your wish. Wouldn't it be better to see Raksasa live in action, the real thing...to feel it? Honestly, I do missed hunting together with you. 

Bro Trevally: Honoured that you want to copy the Triang trip in your blog , Can. 

Bro Viper : Do I have a bigger FS than Raksasa? FS No. 5 is quite big and I suppose I would leave it to Bro Ura to make an "announcement" about FS No. 5 later in the day. 

Bro KopPao: Your dream to see two heavy weight fight? Your dream will be a reality very soon, pls watch out for Bro Ura's post probably in the late afternoon.
