Hi Viper and all my beloved fs bros, it has been sometime since we shared some thinkings and experiences here...nice to know someone actually "revive" this thread. Kudos and Thanks

But lately, we dun have so many "active" hunters(including me), many have M.I.A. I roughly narrow down why our group is shrinking by days.

1)Quantity and quality of Fs are getting lesser and lesser, or smaller and smaller even at our hottest spots. FS used to be abundance, in almost every hunting grounds, and we get to choose which to keep or release, i.e. on a 5 man hunting day, we can easily capture 20 in total.

2) Weather is a killer - just 5mins walking seems like just got out from a swimming pool. it makes us tired and "sian" easily, esp when flipping leaves arnt as rewarding anymore.

3)Work - piles and piles of never ending chores(of cos, or else we would be jobless, and thats always my golden excuse for not being able to turn up, paisey paisey )

4)Change of hobby? i hope not, this hobby is almost free of charge, and healthy, and bring back so much childhood memories and...and...and...so much more......hahaha

5)Change in places of interest? not NTU, not PA.......but Casinos in Sentosa and Marina? haha....

okok, enough of my nonsense...haha....well, lets get together sometimes, even though we know its hotter at this time of the year, its busier at this time of the year, and it has lesser fs this time of the year etc.....Come back!!! Wheres our in-charge BTL and Ah Seng? plan something for all of us ley....haha....it may not necessary be fs hunting, can be a dinner/drinking outing....I'll be looking forward....tk u bros.

Lately our side here is very quiet , except few usual kakis like Vincent81 and Pak Cekop and his friends, i guess no one is really hunting fs now..
Maybe we also lack of new hunting grounds lah, on and off still the usual few places, the fs there also know our face now...

Vincent81 recently got a Lsize which none of our recent catch can match, He is waiting for someone who is more capable to take down this Titan's descendant. Someone please.....

Anyway, i still hoping to see as many bros as possible in every outings, i believe even thou the catch is poor, the happy gathering is always rewarding.... See u guys

Bro Ura, actually, personally, i think these LC pupa not as good compared to the worm stage(larva) for fs....as these pupa are in the stage of transforming into beetle, and then from beetle, give birth to baby worms again, if u want to continue let it grow, u should keep all the worms at pupa stage.

Mr Golden Touch i doubt so, rather Mr. Lost Touch......has been losing touch on fs, leaves and containers for a couple of months, i thought i had cured my inborn fs virus thou....after revisiting to this site, i know finish...........having a freaking relapse, worse than ever....maybe some things are not meant to be "cured"(just like smoking, when u fail to quit, it comes back heavier)
I may not be as enthusiatic as some of our bros here, but i do have a certain degree of passion in fs.....this is the only hobby i didnt stop and i dun think it will.......

I heard many grounds have lost its glory, wonder where can u guys hunt now? for me, NTU seems to be the root, and it never seem possible that i am able to pick something as good elsewhere, seriously......but looking at the fleet of fs u guys having, i must admit u guys really have the perserverance and passion.

What really excites me now is i can get to meet some of my closest friends soon...guys, i am looking forward to meet this weekend.....be there, rain or shine....wherever it is...

Hi Bro Rudy, Tks for sharing ur K.L trip here with us, it sounds fun and rewarding esp having the chance to meet up with some legendary FS brothers from K.L.(except for the lacking of some "group pictures" and fs fighting video, but i believe Bro Viper will have something to share)

U "potong jalan" us by making this trip ahead of what we have planned.....hahaha(just kidding). If u told the sg fs bros about this trip beforehand, i believe some of them may hand over their fs to u to bring over for a "friendly match"..
Anyway, to conclude, Ur trip has not only fulfilled ur own passion and enthusiasm in fs, but also has significant purpose to extend ur "FS brotherhood" to our beloved kakis in the north. Tks with respect...

Any intention for money plants and pepper leaves? personally, i have 1 favourite plant for fs, that's chinese bamboo, this plant is strong and has many over-lapping leaves for fs to hide.

From now on, i know where to release all my fs, rather than let them die/m.i.a before me.....haha, thou i dun have any fs now, tell me when's ur next hunting, itchy hands gonna start working, have strong feeling now.............

One important thing u may already have answer/solutions .....which is their food......... u cant be feeding them crickets all the time? i think have to leave them in the "wild" to hunt and fight like any other fs(survival series, fittest shall live) ....
i believe animals, insects, song birds etc are at their best performance when at wild, when home-kept, spoon fed, they tend to lose their touch, their nature instinct(correct me if i am wrong).

I reached the pinnacle of my FS career at the time i caught Aso, the 9mins Fighter all the way up till Takeshi, one of the most beautiful SG T.Bha with abnormally long arms, and it was a smooth undefeated period of 6 months time, having fought many different kakis including Buaya, one of the true veteran in our FS Circle. At first, it does look impressive to most people who have observed it. But was it really all me who enabled this? I must honestly say it is not, it was you who gave me Raksasa at the most crucial part of this journey that i'm able to continue sitting on my throne. Takeshi, my most beloved SG T.Bha was also caught because of you. You insisted i will catch a "Big One" that day and even drove all the way to my place only to send me to my private spot that time. On the other hand, i'm the one who brought you into FS at first where nobody else that time was playing as actively as me, shared with you lots of things and recommended you Nirvana this wonderful spot where i believe most of your True Kings were caught from.

Different kaki has a different Reigning KING at a different period where it is also impossible for another KING which is only caught later to replace as the previous has already passed its prime.
Just to name a few starting from the earliest part of the forum, from SG:

If you want me to continue taking out videos after videos to say, it will be endless for us. Moreover, Enam was a well-fought FS that everyone knows. I can post all his other videos if you want me to.
Just like he could have been eaten by 2 Star in the video, he could also have eaten few other Chop FSes in his previous fights should we not blow them apart.

In FS, we only had our Prime once, the most Hiong period once, and that's it. Looking at the current SG FS hunting situation, i doubt anyone can surpass his most polished former prime.
So now we are all just playing for fun, primary objectives is to produce some good long fights and enjoy the company of fellow FS kakis.

It has been a while, and this awhile is almost 3yrs for me to stop reading, not mentioning even to post.
Wonder if 'senior' members still around, like Koppao, BTL, Ken691 still reading?? Maybe just like me, find that this forum, which hugely contributed by our thread starter Bro Mindstorm and Viper, has lost its glory. For those not aware(pls refer to Part1), it used to be so chatty, bubbly, filled with fun and laughter, Fs bros can't wait to post and comment after every hunt and bouts.

Not sure since when, i think this forum is filled with sparks that will easily burst into uncontrolled fire....hence, I left....

Last few weeks, I started to recall my favourite hobby, Fs hunting, and my fellow bros who are in this room, I started to read....again...
Is this Ura the same guy with us to P.Ubin who first joined us as a zero knowledge Fs kaki?? Then can i say we are the one that bring u into fs???Btw, nothing to show off, I was the one to introduce NTU, Nirvana, and some other spots, which I never once claimed 'my private spot', whoever can claim private spot either its at ur own house or u bought that piece of land...I proudly and gladly shared all good locations that produced good Fs, I believe followers of this forum knew how many KING category NTU and Nirvana produced.
After some homework, I think I realize it's all bcos of Ura that Fs bros left this forum, but on the other hand still continue this hobby 'privately'...this easily spell why and who is the odd one and non friendly.
