eh, it only took me 2+ hours to patch version 9 and 10 with a 2meg connection, how could it take so long?

I gonna try it again tonight using old PC since I can't get it to work on new PC (200+ games no issues and this is giving me the most problems even BSOD during patches).

I'll download and install all files via their website and hopefully I can play instead of trying to make it work by Friday, if not I'll just pass my account to a friend.

The patch 9 took quite a long time because the map editor comes with it; which is 480MB large for the editor alone iinm, while total size of patch 1-8 is only about 89MB

No issue boss. That's just their current classifying method for battlenet account, dun need to VPN an ID in US, it will also be re-directed and reclassified to .KR for the moment.


We still get to play either US servers, or Korea servers, will still be accessible until a later stage.

Hopefully a few more Asia region servers Blizzard open up, the differing language speaking gamers will know what to do.

Only if it makes economical sense to have a server in Malaysia-Singapore for Oceanic-SEA, the start up, internet infrastructure (on rental... ) and maintenance will dwarf our budget, for just a 'gaming' reason politicians can only see...

Inter-Regional Pro-Gaming at 100ms latency perhaps... but not worldwide (not possible to be equally fair) with servers hosted at the other far end).

did u download ur installer from bnet itself or other sources?
cause i'm downloading directly from bnet and its fine for me...

Installer given by friend, he downloaded from Battlenet previously (also another beta tester but stop playing Starcraft 2 beta many months ago).

Now I gonna download everything for Battlenet just to test it on my old PC.

update my race, protoss~ yeah

i got my invite this morning, so i activated, and i'm sure i connected to us.battle.net, and by the time i activated, it directs me to kr.battle.net zzz!!
and yes, my friend's acc is in us server, so probably will play there if my friend asked me to play with him

Update my race also, me as Terran
