@xcaliber Actually can book now. But we will wait for a while. Maybe in March or Apr we can do group booking. Anyway, the booking fee is fully refundable if you feel the car is not up to your liking when available for test drive(launch).

@Vpowerzone the size is more or less the same as they are in the same category$ smile.gif

If the cabin size esp. rear legroom is the same as civic/altis then it's good enough for me. used to like mazda3 but i felt that the rear legroom is kinda small.

Anyway, any indication for Avante price yet?

saw some avante review on youtube, leg room for rear is big enough, but head room might not be sufficient for tall ppl due to the shape design of the car (something like Gen2 rear seats la).. but our malaysian average height is not as tall as mat salleh, so maybe is not a big concern.. (the review was done in US)

The price could be near to RM100k. The legroom is enpugh... I sat in it during the kl motor show in 2010. The space is big enough for me... smile.gif

i'm sure the price for 1.8 around 90k only. maybe ~87k. of course they want to compete with inspira n forte.

Yeap... i think P1 won't give any easy chances for anyone incl. hyundai to compete wit their newly launched inspira in terms of pricing. Below than 90k is really jus a wet dream for us...

Judging from how sonata is priced so near to it's competitors, my wild guess would be 105k for 1.8 high spec.
Anything above 110k is suicide for SD..

I'm trying to compare to some competitors / same segment cars, see how SD will price the new avante...

Naza Kia Forte 2.0L - Selling price : RM90,395 (OTR RM93,800)
Chevrolet Cruze 1.8L - Selling price : RM97,888 (OTR RM101,523)
Peugeot 308 1.6L - Selling price : RM96,666 (OTR RM99,888)
Proton Inspira 2.0L - Selling price : RM89,397 (OTR RM91,999)
Honda Civic 1.8L - Selling price : RM111,152 (OTR RM114,980)

Hyundai Avante 1.8L - Selling price RM???,??? (OTR RM???,???)

Jus my opinion, if avante priced around RM105k, and if honda offering best interest rate in town, then SD will consider as suicide too... Very interesting matter in how SD will price the avante when i look at the prices above...

The headroom is enough. I am almost a 6 footer.

Anyone knows if new car being launched (i mean the new avante) got any discount or not? Bcoz one SA posted saying got discount for some hyundai models. The current avante with RM11k discount, true o not???

Wondering if the upcoming avante got any discount such as this... must be very attractive.

Why should the upcoming Avante have any discounts??? Do u know why discounts are offered? Its always either to boost sales of unpopular models or to clear old stock. Nobody gives discounts for new launches. The closest to a discount would be a promo price for a limited period.

Of course everyone love discount / promo for even slightly lower price and any free gift, better than nothing, right. I think we shall wait for new avante for any... biggrin.gif
