haha... ah beng car... I agreed 85k-95k is ideal. I am not too sure why there is such a booking. The salesman at KLIMS never tell me anything about booking. Official booking is normally 2 months before the launch, according to my friend in Hyundai.

Dear all, I have called 2 SA from 2 different dealer and confirmed that booking can be done now. Booking fee is RM1k and is fully refundable in the event if you are not happy with the car after the launch. The benefit of booking now is that those who book before the launch will be invited to the soft launch (few months before the actual launching) and will get their car during the launch.

The package offered for group booking for 1 SA around my area is free 2 years labour during service but only at Puchong authorised service centre.

The other SA is offering full tank of petrol when receive the car + GPS (either papago or garmin) + some discount (which can only be quantified when more details are available) + whatever offer from Sime Darby.

I still felt the latter is more attractive.

Both SA estimated the price could be over RM100k for the 1.8 or 2.0 variant. My friend say if there is 1.6 variant, it will definitely below RM100k. According to them, 1,6 variant is powerful enough to support the car. All these indication are still at early stage.

These 2 SA say the expected launch will be on September and car will be available on November. A year to go...

If anyone of you are interested, maybe we can build a list so we have higher bargaining power.

See how similar they are? Thats why i was really impressed with the Avante. Can someone try and post these pics here for all to see rather than leaving it on picpaste?

Hyundai delay the Avante because of the bad sales record for the current version. Most of the Malaysian when buying something, first they will look for the brand first, then only price, design....! Just take the current Sonata as an example, they said the sales is really good, but until now, I only saw 2 Sonatas, other than that none! I think Hyundai also don't want to disturb the Kia Forte sales, which currently doing pretty good for Korean car.

Cars are a losing commodity. Commit to a house first. If you dont have a property, then dont bother about driving expensive cars. If you already have a property, then i would only advise you to think about this car (with a max 5 yr loan) if ure earning at least RM 12K a month. Dont bite off more than you can chew no matter how good looking the car is.

if retail RM95,000 (assume follow back current tag, no discount for such new car)
assume 3% per year, as my father bought previous generation avante..
RM15,000 deposit.

{(RM95,000-RM15,000) x [1+(3% x 9)} / 108 =  RM940.74 per month

Deposit not sure yet. The booking fee is RM1k refundable. Anyway, I have asked few 3 SAs, and most of them don't give a very good deal for group booking. The best I got from a salesman is free full tank of petrol and a Papago or Garmin GPS. Have you asked any SA yet?

GDI is just a method of new Fuel Injection... nothing gotta do wif low or high quality...
by default all Korean cars should be able to accept RON91 onwards.

Nice! The 2011 ford fiesta bigger than the current one available in malaysia market? How can they compare the space between avante and fiesta? I thought fiesta is smaller.

i'm sure the price for 1.8 around 90k only. maybe ~87k. of course they want to compete with inspira n forte.
