Cars are a losing commodity. Commit to a house first. If you dont have a property, then dont bother about driving expensive cars. If you already have a property, then i would only advise you to think about this car (with a max 5 yr loan) if ure earning at least RM 12K a month. Dont bite off more than you can chew no matter how good looking the car is.

Agreed, agreed. On top of your advice, the prices of cars are artificial in this country in the first place.

Nowadays driving a big car doesnt mean he/she is indeed wealthy. Hats off to Cyber too and my gf's dad. Min 30k per month and his all time ride is a 5 years old Proton Waja and a Myvi.

if retail RM95,000 (assume follow back current tag, no discount for such new car)
assume 3% per year, as my father bought previous generation avante..
RM15,000 deposit.

{(RM95,000-RM15,000) x [1+(3% x 9)} / 108 = RM940.74 per month

By looking at the recent launches of H Tucson and Sonata which took the most 10 months after premiering , it looks like it won't be that long before we can see this beauty hits our road too.

After contemplating with Inspira,Forte,Altis,Fiesta and the pending new Civic I think Avante is the choice.
It is a beauty inside out and have garnered some good reviews as well.
So proudly I would like to put my name as one of buyers list..............

If mati-mati wanna own an Avante.. assuming 10% downpayment and taking 9-year loan, salary at least 4k.

but i prefer the price of car lesser than my annual salary.. (thats y i m only driving a SLK - Small Little Kereta .. brows.gif ).

Deposit not sure yet. The booking fee is RM1k refundable. Anyway, I have asked few 3 SAs, and most of them don't give a very good deal for group booking. The best I got from a salesman is free full tank of petrol and a Papago or Garmin GPS. Have you asked any SA yet?

I remember someone mention that GDI 1.6 is not suitable due to the low quality fuel that we have in the market now, thats why I guessed it GDIless 1.8L

See who else can give the best. One SA offers free labour service for 1 year but have to do it in Puchong. Will not be convenient for everybody. smile.gif
