My friend who work for Hyundai told me that they are targeting to launch this car by Q2. They are trying to bring down the price as well!I will most likely get this car! I will do test drive on the current Avante soon:)

Yalor... I love the interior and exterior of the current model too... By far best design and comfort of the cars I can afford! I just need to tesyt drive the current model which costs RM84k!

Can anybody tell me the pros and cons for the current and new model in terms of engine and gearbox? Need some knowledge on this.

Confirmed with my friend who is the area manager that this car will only be launched in june 2011. They will bring a car for show during autoworld exhibition in december 2010. Heard the 1.6 is a campro engine.

My question to my friend was, will 1.6 be underpowered as the current model is 2.0.

We can get a first glimpse at this car from 3-12 dec auto exhibition at PWTC.
Expected price ranging RM85k-95k.

wait and see lor... I heard from my friend they are trying to bring the price lower for avante. I am sure KIA is keen to maintain or lower a bit to make it more affordable.

Most likely the price for 2.0L would be the same or slightly lower and much lower for 1.6L variant. Hyundai have this special trade in discount where RM3,000 further discount will be given on top of the trade in value.

Current 2.0L is RM97k. If they priced over this amount, Hyundai will be at the losing end.

some update. Still counting down to KLIM.

I am waiting for Avante 2011. Pay a visit to KLIM at PWTC from 3-12 December and get a glimpse of the new Avante. No comment on the performance and pricing yet.

I saw the car on Monday at KLIMS. Manage to sit inside the car, front and back. REALLY IMPRESSIVE!!! hahaha... After looking first round, went back second round after rounding the floor. 3rd quarter 2011 is good also, at least I can accumulate more money... Hehehe... But I hope all the features are available at RM9xk lor... Sunroof, park assist and etc. Love the seat cover and the sporty leather steering wheel.

Insight was way too small man... Leg space very small.

Oh ya, I went to KLIMS with objective of peeking at this Avante... And now, I can just dream of owning it unless I am the lucky winner for the TOYOTA PRIUS! Hahaha...

When you see the actual car, you don't feel it is a korean car. Haha... It has a better look than Altis and Civic!

Quick go and visit KLIMS just for this car la... The rest you can just see and chiao... haha... Quite boring one la other booth except for this Avante which is located at Hall 4.

At the mean time we have lots of time to hear about the performances in the US and decide. I would want the colour on display one at 1.8 variant.
