try this again

Step 1 Turn off your phone
Step 2 Rub the metal part of the simcard before putting into the phone
Step3 turn on the phone

See whether it works or not.

Lastly mate do not ask for solution for unofficial firmware because its still bugged rclxms.gif

I've mentioned before, it's better to install the "System Info Widget". Sometimes, some processes may "hang" and hogging your CPU resources to 100% usage. Your battery will be drain in no time. I've experience few times, usually it's the browser, have to manually kill it X-Terminal or HTOP app.
The easier way would be restart your phone.

can i have a simple tutorial of this?

Oh ya before this i use maxis, and now i change to digi. I go into nokia website it said it will have some prob if changed to different operator.
And then the firmware im using now is official PR 1.1.1 from nokia website. So how do i configure n900 to use DIgi service?

When i first got my nokia n900 i have such issue as well. Its just the device very sensitive to the particular simcard. So u can try taking out your digi simcard rub the metal part or use a rubber. Try it again

you cant reflash from PR1.2 to PR1.1.1 You will get an error receiving calls and sms cause the radio has been updated as well. there is a work around. Search on maemo.org

I flash back my phone to unofficial PR1.2 edi. It worked fine now.
PR1.2 got a problem is some phones will get reboot loop.
It will keep reboot and show the nokia page continuously.
And then the firmware we cannot flash from PR 1.2 to PR 1.1.1 as the previous guy said.
So at the end i still stick with PR 1.2. Hopefully it works fine in the future.

Me too. For the life of me I couldn't figure out how to kill procs (like F9? where the...). Now running Tonis's starving850 profile for Titan's kernel. Extremely low voltages, working like a charm.

And I FINALLY found out why my batt was draining like nobody's business, it was the constant GPRS/EDGE connection I had running. With autodisconnect, my battery discharge curve looks like it would last a few days under moderate use, will update on that later.

But seriously, autodisconnect is a great, great app.

tested and it works. very buggy though.

you need to reflash eMMC/core with Vanilla firmware, only then reflash with PR1.1 again. I've never done this personally, its all from reading.

alternatively, reflashing back to PR1.2 will solve the sim card detection error instantly.

yeah.. that constant connection is main reason draining your batt... before i knew autodiscon.. i have to manually disconnect each time after 3G surfing...

disabling "location" in setting does improve the battery life significantly..facebook widget also drains the battery aswell as the weather widget..because these widgets need to refresh to update..especially facebook..so,these refreshes consumes battery like mad..
