Haha will do. Thus far the whole phone seems more responsive. To be honest it doesnt really stay at 800Mhz for long periods.
Added on May 7, 2010, 3:14 pm QUOTE(aspire2oo6 @ May 7 2010, 03:12 PM) Same here but gave up to be honest seems like Duke Nukem Forever lol Its taking foreverThe leaked version seems to be stable, never had any process crash for me thus far. Haha nah no worries about that. Everything is backed up. To be honest it is stable. Seems like this is the same release that will be coming out soon enough by the looks of it. Maybe touch up here and there.
Nokia has put out an alert saying that the leaked PR is bricking phones although that's not the case. I wonder why? Maybe cause they dont want people to see that this might be the final version of it. |

hmn... to be honest according to original ARM specs this processor can go up to 1Ghz, not sure why Nokia had this one set to 600Mhz. Maybe battery life concerns.

Tried using the default ideal Settings by titan but my N900 couldnt even boot lol. Guess the voltages were too low. I upped them up slightly but still at 850Mhz, it is using less than the default Nokia setting for 600Mhz. Lets see how battery life goes with this Will let you all know. Anyhow if any are interested, the guide is off maemo.org |

QUOTE(aspire2oo6 @ May 8 2010, 07:50 PM) the curious part some say after OC their battery life improve. Like me i feel performance and also improve battery life. I will upload my battery graph to share with everyone later Depends on which kernel you use. Titan's ideal kernel is actually using lower voltages compared to Nokia's default. |

QUOTE(aspire2oo6 @ May 8 2010, 08:20 PM) Depends on yourself. I am using the Power Kenel and Power Kernel Settings to Overclock. It allows changes on the fly and allows you to change voltages as well through profiles. You can follow the link I posted, it is a pretty accurate guide. You will need some trial and error as well. The kernel has a safety feature though, if your N900 reboots a couple of times, it will reload the default settings. Some N900 can run at ULV while some cant. You need to find which one suites you the most as all chips are different. Titan's ideal settings are as below:- CODE # DO NOT EDIT THIS FILE - CREATE A COPY OF IT FOR CUSTOMIZATION # minimum frequency to use MINFREQ=500 # maximum frequency to use MAXFREQ=850 # list of frequency configurations: each "frequency:volt, dsprate" FREQS="500:30,360 550:33,400 600:38,430 700:45,430 750:45,430 805:48,430 850:48, UP_THRESHOLD=75 SAMPLING_RATE=150000 SMARTREFLEX_VDD1=0 SMARTREFLEX_VDD2=0 IGNORE_NICE_LOAD=1 Didnt work for me. I needed to increase the voltages a little and now it has been stable for about 1hour. Nokia's default is below:- CODE # DO NOT EDIT THIS FILE - CREATE A COPY OF IT FOR CUSTOMIZATION # minimum frequency to use MINFREQ=250 # maximum frequency to use MAXFREQ=600 # list of frequency configurations: each "frequency:volt, dsprate" FREQS="0:30,90 125:30,90 250:38,180 500:48,360 550:54,400 600:60,430 700:60,430 750:60,430 805:60,430 850:60,500 900:60,500 950:60,500 1000:60,500 1100:72,520 1150:72,520" UP_THRESHOLD=95 SAMPLING_RATE=300000 SMARTREFLEX_VDD1=0 SMARTREFLEX_VDD2=0 IGNORE_NICE_LOAD=0 You can get the voltage tables and more info here Voltage Information This post has been edited by RViN: May 8 2010, 09:02 PM |

you cant reflash from PR1.2 to PR1.1.1 You will get an error receiving calls and sms cause the radio has been updated as well. there is a work around. Search on maemo.org

QUOTE(aspire2oo6 @ May 9 2010, 11:52 AM) What if u reflash back to PR 1.1 then reflash it again to PR 1.1 again will it by any chance overwrite everything over 1.2 From what I understand it wont work as you will need to flash the radio as well. Everytime you update it seems, the software will flash to a newer radio version which is not easy to reflash to an older version. So everytime you reflash, the only change would be firmware. There is a hack out to force it to flash the radio but it is a little hit and miss. More details on Maemo.org - Downgrading PR1.2 Leaked |

Aye got the zagg also but I only using it for the body, the screen is just too rubbery for my liking. Best use normal screen protector. I am using mugen matter one now and it feels good.

QUOTE(aspire2oo6 @ May 9 2010, 10:21 PM) btw did u stick it yourself or u get shop to do it for u? I hate it when stick and have alot bubbles I did it myself. Pretty easy cause you need to wet the screen protector first. There will be bubbles sure but after a day or two they will disappear... But it is rubbery gila, not nice feel at all. Dunno maybe will be ok for some. Even the back feels weird but it is better to have one that not having one lol I bought it for RM80 |

Just use the internal backup utility if you are lazy to install your apps.
That said better to start clean anyways |

QUOTE(aspire2oo6 @ May 10 2010, 11:39 AM) To me i prefer to start clean. Even the hassle of reinstall one application at a time because future i seldom have bugs or hang problem Very true, that's why I left the back and camera protector on. The screen protector was too much though. The Mugen one is much better and smoother.Added on May 10, 2010, 11:41 am Haha nothing is perfect either u have a thick casing/big pouch or stay the same size and just only have rubberish feeling? Which will u choose? Yea his price RM80 as well. |
