QUOTE(aspire2oo6 @ May 7 2010, 02:03 PM) use the battery graph tool to monitor. i heard someone using tis battery in nokia n82 thread accidentally burn his phone Added on May 7, 2010, 8:31 pm QUOTE(Andy214 @ May 7 2010, 12:10 PM) Yes, it's like your PC. Basically, if the virtual memory is use more, then you phone will start to face some performance issue. hey, mind teaching as a simple tutorial how to use "task manager" in n900? i tried google its kinda complicated ><Sometimes, some process might have "hang" and hogging the processor or ram, best is to install the "System Info Widget" which allows you to monitor the processor and ram usage in percentage in your Desktop. You can also use "Conky" to view in details. If you know how you can manually kill the process or use HTOP app. Basically if you're using Windows, it's like killing monitoring and killing processes in the Task Manager (CTRL+ALT+DEL). For easier way, just restart the phone. Added on May 7, 2010, 12:14 pm The DC-11 description/manual mentioned it can only fully charge a 900mah battery. So, it cannot fully charge the N900. Source from the web mentioned that the DC-11 is packed with a 1500mah battery. MY personal advice: Try NOT to drain the DC-11 battery completely. Let's say you know the DC-11 took about 2 hours before it run out of battery, try to stop using it earlier. It should be a Li-Ion or Li-Poly battery, so it's safer not to drain it completely, altough I think it should have some prevention in place (e.g. will not charge if the battery is below say 10%?). Just my personal advice to be safe. This post has been edited by k-bkeat: May 7 2010, 08:31 PM |

QUOTE(Andy214 @ May 9 2010, 01:59 AM) I've mentioned before, it's better to install the "System Info Widget". Sometimes, some processes may "hang" and hogging your CPU resources to 100% usage. Your battery will be drain in no time. I've experience few times, usually it's the browser, have to manually kill it X-Terminal or HTOP app. can i have a simple tutorial of this? The easier way would be restart your phone. |
