I don't see any noticeable difference with it, just the spray spread differently as far i remember.

No, Mr Hobby thinner was lacquer thinner. You should get Tamiya X-20 Thinner or lighter fluid (the ones like Zippo)

for mixing enamel all so us zippo fluid and remove is just zippo fluid ?

Zippo fluid is for washing tool so not really good with paint
get Tamiya enamel thinner

anyway! i have a question.. what is the cheapest possible paint i can use with an airbrush? i'd like to do a bit of practice runs before i go get the proper paint.. cheap, but workable and final product looks decent enough is fine for me.. just need for a little practice before jumping to the good stuff

im new to modelling. Im actually doing a project now (1/48 F-14D aricraft kit)

i have few questions:

1. When do i spray the model? after finished assembly? or paint before assemble?
2. if im on budget (no enuf $$) is it advisable to go for tamiya spray can (the aerosol spray kind) OR use paint brush?

Pro finish paint.. paint ( airbrush ) it after finish assemble.. masking all clear parts such as a canopy..after that..apply decal and a clear / satin coat

dont really get it... so means that most ppl finish assemble den paint? if i dont have airbrush can i use the spray can?

spray can paint.

assemble first,Have an overall look at the model and how to approach the paint job. look for all the seams that need to be filled.
paint brushing needs practice and skills.. go for spray can if your in a hurry to paint your model.

hmm... thx bro... initially i tought of glue all the main parts (fuel tank, fuselage etc.) before start glue... hmmmmm

I read that oil paint can also be used but you still need to thin it down and take hours or days to dry, but to be honest just go for the good stuff since you really need to practice the thinning ratio of paints since different brand have different consistency, not to mention cleaning the airbrush itself.

Not sure if decanting spray paint is cheaper tho.
