QUOTE(wookp @ Jun 20 2013, 02:19 PM) So your advice is getting permenant sharpie/artline gold markers and removing them using wd40? Hmm... Where did you guys buy the wd40 pen? I tried using sharpie and wd40 (cotton swab). Ended up removing everything! =_=''Hmm... ill give this a try. Any videos or tutorial I can view for this? Maybe technique wrong. |

Hi, I know there are a lot of experience modelers here, so I'm going to ask a question regard Tamiya Epoxy Putty. I used it for extend my model kit parts, I mix them with 1:1 ratio and then stick it to the part I want. And I left it for 4-5hours then do some shaping, after that left it for 1 days for completely harden.
This is the first time I use it, so I'm wondering is it the finishing will be gummy or it should completely solid feel? Mine just gave me gummy feel and now already 2 days since I applied it. Hope people here are kind enough to answer me, thanks. This post has been edited by TheGreatBahamut: Jun 24 2013, 09:59 PM |

Hi gurus,
I am kinda new to this thread but has been doing model for quite a while, so I hope my question is appropriate here. Would like to ask about :- 1. How you all make a sticker on the model look like water decal or pressure decal style. Generally it is about trying to make the edge of sticker look as transparent and not noticeable as possible. Coating ? 2 . Related to question 1, I was trying to skip the simple sticker like a small one with just few black line with panel lining painting. But struggling in steadily drawing it. Is there such a tool (metal/plastic) where it serve kinda like a shape masking so can paint it easier. 3. Lastly, also related to question 1 lots of question and I hope my "explanation" is not too bad |

But you are trying to draw few straight lines on a surface, get a template, ruler or dymo tape to serve as a guide to draw straight line. 3. I'm not sure market got water decal for PG astray or not but if you want custom decal, you can find Samueldecal . And good luck. |

And I left it for 4-5hours then do some shaping, after that left it for 1 days for completely harden. Based on my limited experience with epoxy putty, it should be rock hard and not gummy like you mention. Probably because of the humidity factor in since it will effect the drying process of putty. This is the first time I use it, so I'm wondering is it the finishing will be gummy or it should completely solid feel? Mine just gave me gummy feel and now already 2 days since I applied it. Hope people here are kind enough to answer me, thanks. |

Hi guys, Im new to this gundam painting, hope u guys can guide me thru this..
1. If I were to use panel wash technique for the panel lining, what is the ratio of enamel paint and tinner?? youtube mention 1:20 (enamel paint:tinner) Am I correct? ![]() 2. How do I paint those "hole" (circled)? Can I use back the same paint I use for panel lining (as case 1)?? or do I paint directly from the enamel paint without any mixture? 3. Same goes to nub mark, if I were to use paint, should there be mixture or not? *Note: the Gundam model are just plain, no coating or painted by any mean. Thanks in advance.
