they're different brand.
also not sure how much tamiya/mr colour is. But i bought last time tamiya flat coat, same size around RM45. Estimate the price from that... sweat.gif

The results will depend on your painting skills... tongue.gif

when there is dripping / bulging on the paint. When the reflection of the light on the paint is uneven, it usually tell the paint is too thick. Two to three pass of thin coat paint will do.

Mr. Surface = primer. Do primer before painting whatever color you want to apply.

It depends on your definition of base paint. If your definition of "base" is the first coating of paint you apply before
applying anything then that is base paint.
There is also based paint define as the paint color to help define the opacity of the second coat of paint your going to use. For example, your applying yellow and you want it to be brighter yellow, apply white based paint otherwise it will turn dull if your first coating of paint is dark.

To cut the story short, and not to confused you anymore tongue.gif , look for the label "primer" on the paint... tongue.gif tongue.gif

is 3 layers of top coat enough for the moving parts such as elbow joint? because the painted surface that rub together will damaged the paint... rite?

You don't have to exactly apply top coat for every part... if you want, you can also...
It's easier if you apple leg part, arm part, etc...

top coat Maximum 2 layers is enough. Even you have multiple layers of topcoat, once you move the parts carelessly, you will still scratch them..
Usually 1 layer of top coat is enough unless you want it Flatter(if you're doing Flat/Matte)

yes top coat will protect the paint, but still, scratches on top coat is visible (though is easier to fixed that paint scratches). The trick to minimize this is to lightly sand down those parts that r tightly contact with each other. just a hairline gap is sufficient between these parts r sufficient ady.
