A general question is best replied with a general answer.

You mention uni work but nothing specific. The needs of a graphic-intensive suite of programs is a world's difference from the simple need to write lab reports. Not to mention that the price difference between "base models" of the 13" and 15" can go as far as RM3,300, which clearly brings up the important question of your budget.

If you want a better answer, describe your course scope, budget and whether 1.5" and 500g makes a difference to you.

My MagSafe adapter seems to be broken, after > 3.5 yrs of usage. It doesn't light up when charging and stays green after the battery is fully charged and disconnected from the MBP.. there is something wrong with it, going to Sapura today and see if I could get a free replacement .. following Apple troubleshooting guide, if it is not an accidental damage, I could get a replacement foc.

ohmy.gif  can you explain on why you said that the 13" is more suited for me? you're answer is quite... general  wink.gif

You mentioned portability (which means size, leans toward 13"), and you're a uni student, so probably cash strapped? Don't have to get 15" so big. Unless you're willing to pay more, I don't see any problem with 15" other than size.

I might be wrong. This what I experience with my other laptop last time when I'm feeding out sound from my laptop phone jack to the sound system. What I did was put it to a direct box (DI Box) and turn on the GND lift and no more buzzing......did you try with the one without cable one? I'm running my MBP with it.....no buzzing sound.....

May I know do you all receive confirmation when you register your MB/MBP/iMac online? I did receive the confirmation email for my macbook, but i didn't receive it for my mac mini which i register 3 weeks later.

Anyway to check whether the warranty registration been completed successfully? I login to apple website but found nothing, only page to let you register new apple product.
