i had the some kinda issue with the mobile 3g broadband(usb stick) too. mac will automatically install the pre-loaded software from the usb stick, but it just wouldnt work. after some troubleshooting, mac finally recognized the usb modem via Network, and connects to the internet without using the software, but the speed is really slow, like 10% of what i normally get..

My MagSafe adapter seems to be broken, after > 3.5 yrs of usage. It doesn't light up when charging and stays green after the battery is fully charged and disconnected from the MBP.. there is something wrong with it, going to Sapura today and see if I could get a free replacement .. following Apple troubleshooting guide, if it is not an accidental damage, I could get a replacement foc. http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1713

QUOTE(rizq @ Jul 12 2010, 05:56 AM) can you explain on why you said that the 13" is more suited for me? you're answer is quite... general A general question is best replied with a general answer. You mention uni work but nothing specific. The needs of a graphic-intensive suite of programs is a world's difference from the simple need to write lab reports. Not to mention that the price difference between "base models" of the 13" and 15" can go as far as RM3,300, which clearly brings up the important question of your budget. If you want a better answer, describe your course scope, budget and whether 1.5" and 500g makes a difference to you. This post has been edited by Ojimaru: Jul 12 2010, 08:41 AM
