What I got in the mail today (the black one):
  It's custom Type III HA Black anodized, bored to fit 2x18500 cells. It's completely anodized inside out, except the electrical contact points have been machined to reveal the bare aluminium. I think the C3 makes an awesome versatile host coz you can use either 2x18500/17500 or 3 primary CR123's while outputting almost the same voltage. |

the thrunite drop in seem alright better built the DX drop in, tried with 18560 dont seems crazy bright  have to try it out with RCR123 |

Received the Thrunite dropins from Uncle Wong today.
Here they are:  From left: Stock reflector, 2.7-9V w/SMO and 18650 only with OP reflector. The emitter of the 18650 is very off-center.    Left: Eagletac T20C2 XPG (1 X 18650) Right: Thrunite XPG 2V-9V (2 X 18500)  Left: Dereelight 1SD R2 (1 X 18650) Right: Thrunite XPG 2V-9V (2 X 18500) This thing is very bright and throws good in a smooth reflector . However, it gets really hot after a few seconds. Thanks again to Uncle Wong. If only the Thrunite Catapult came in parallel battery configuration.... |
