If everyone is willing to contribute to pool a fund of RM150 a year I can construct a full fledged Invision power board (similar to LYN) with a *.com/*.net/*.org address. Unlike the free MYCPF forums, we can get the search function up etc.

I can do so, too since I already have a hosting account set up, and lots of spare bandwidth / disk space..

I see that the install of IPB at this site is a trial license, -- which either means they're using a very old, unrestricted copy of IPB (2.x), or, well, an alternative.
A full license costs $150 -- which would last forever (except no upgrades after 6 months.. not a problem, though )
If someone wants to fund for a license, I can either

1. host it free on a subdomain (i.e. forum.lumensreview.com, lumensreview.com/forum, etc, etc) , or,
2. purchase a new domain for 10$ a year. With a new domain, though, you'd need to pay for tsite hosting, which is ~7/month. 

or, of course, I could also find a trial license, and install that one, and host you guys for free
I think there are a few security vulnerabilities with that option... but this forum hasn't had a problem.

Added on May 8, 2010, 6:51 amanyone using 4Sevens' CR123a batteries? do you check the Voltage of the 2-battery pack? I find it interesting that mine are mostly 0.03V apart, like 3.22V/3.25V, 3.24V/3.27V. as these are shrink-wrap in 2 per pack, I really didn't expect to have such a different Voltage. My 12-Pack SureFire battery all giving 3.28V consistently, likewise for Sanyo and Panasonic...  as these are put into 2-cell lights, the one near the head will consistently get draw more and leaving the Voltage gap bigger 

Maybe its to put the higher voltage one near the head leaving no or very little gap? Lol. I dunno. xD

haha... that's what I'm doing now... maybe I should ask in CPF to see if other users having a different experience...    wish me luck, I hope I won't get flame for not going guilt-free lumens...
