Agree on battery choice as @power911

The value-for money Panasonic NCR18650B I reckons should be good enough for the Zanflare.
If you want to splurge, the Sanyo GA or the LG MJ1 for slightly more capacity over the NCR B can be considered too. I don't think you'll notice any improvement if you go for the high drain Samsung 30Q or LG HG2 in this flashlight

Got my zanflare yesterday and all I can say that I am fully satisfied with the built quality and performance, for USD25. Last night I dissemble old 5200MAH Xiaomi powerbank and use its battery for my Zanflare. It uses old LGEBB41865. Think its good enough?

Can bring onboard Airasia domestic flights? Attached Image

Coz read this
Note: High intensity diving lamps and normal portable diving lamps i.e. torch lights , which contains rechargeable lead acid batteries, spillable or non-spillable will not be accepted on board AirAsia aircraft as check-in nor as hand baggage as it falls under Dangerous Goods Regulation.

Li-ions should be fine no problem. But you got to hand carry it.
Do you have battery case for your cells? If possible bring them and store your batteries outside of the flashlight.

Actually most important just hand carry. Don't put in luggage can d. (you don't wanna risk it turning on inside)
I jealous you got nice lights sweat.gif

Aliexpress is ok with customs. Just ask the seller to label the package as gift or low value item.
Usually seller from aliexpress would do that automatically.

May I know why buy from aliexpress? If it is some unbranded good lights I understand la (like convoy, eagle eye, on the road, astrolux, etc)

But if lights like your Fenix PD35TAC I'd prefer to buy it locally.
Price doesn't differ much. Maybe a couple bucks more but you get warranty if you buy it here.
Aliexpress will need you to send back to china

why? because of this:

Local seller selling for RM315
https://www.lelong.com.my/fenix-pd35-tac-cr...7-01-Sale-I.htm

versus

China seller selling for RM222 (with free shipping)
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Fenix-PD35-...sAbTest=ae803_3

u can see our local sellers are taking wayy more cuts on flashlights therefore the more cost effective is to directly buy from aliexpress and wait 2 weeks rather than paying almost RM100 more.

mann I never knew that huge difference though. the last time I bought my LD12 price margin was only RM40 doh.gif sweat.gif
Go for it then.

Meanwhile I'm aiming cheaper budget ones like this

My Convoy S2+ I bought from aliexpress just arrived last Wednesday.
It takes 22 days to arrive here in Miri, Sarawak. The custom held it but luckily it got through..

I'm still find GB offer best price except they always sell 7135drivers*4. Couples with discount code from blf seem the price better than anywhere

If I'm not mistaken, olight I3E EOS does not have any battery polarity protection. Last time i was considering this but i didn't bought. Instead i went for nitecore tube since it has internal rechargeable battery. While it could not last for long hours usage but good enough for daily use.

Other than olight, you may consider other brand such as lumintop and jetbeam. Just head over to blf forum to find good discount coupon for these lights.
