good stuff but hand got too itchy.
Flashed biscotti firmware... Works fine
Bypassed driver spring for better conductivity... Works fine
Bypassed switch spring... I think I overheated my tailcap switch and now it's very sensitive to mode switching.

Oh well... Switch is now "touch sensitive". Any slight tickle on the tailcap would change modes.

I'm glad I've ordered a lighted tailcap. That should replace it.

PS: I find that the lanyard provided is a bit bulky and excessive? It gets annoying with all the pieces holding the lanyard. What do you think?

looks good, but reading the specs...once it hits 50c it drops off after 30secs to 900L.
and at both its turbo and high modes for sure will reach 50c.
for the price and apparently their non-existent customer service...i wouldnt bother.
better just save ur money and get one of those 900-1000L models in the market.

Their CS was my concern, seem almost every site I check said the same thing, not to mention their flashlight tend to more extra electronics than others.

For now I guest just stick with my MH20 for edc.

I dont know why, maybe because its within my budget RM280+-. But the nitcore need to buy own battery, which might add more cost. Can u recommend me other model?

first u need to decide what batts u prefer, size, output, etc.
from those 2 i guess u want high output using 18650...
i prefer those that use AA or AAA...

Ya i prefer can charge on the go..

thats small matter really.
cos if ur outside u can't charge anyway... so better to have long runtimes or batts that u can just go into 7-11 and buy etc.
of cos ur usage matters...

anyway, for me... i have single AAA ones for keychain...Olight i3e, fenix LD01... and odd one out nitecore tip 360 lumen.
then couple of single AA monsters in nitecore EA11 and zebralight SC52W which i would carry either one if go outstation...those 2 i use 14500 in them just for the extra output...
and a 4xAA in jetbeam sra40 just for fun.

what do you need it for? everyday carry? work? hunting? backup lighting?

I can briefly describe both.

Nitecore EC4GT needs 2x 18650 to run
It is a throwier light than Olight. (pencil beam)
It can run longer than Olight.
Simple dual switch that is easy to learn.

Olight S30R Baton is more pocket friendly
It is more floodier beam (wall of light)
Olight provides you with charger and battery so you're ready to use
Single button interface that needs you to learn how to use it


Both has its pros and cons. I'd choose Olight just because of it being pocket friendly

I have the Nitecore EC4S, which basically uses Cree XHP50 emitter, instead of XPL-Hi.
Since it uses 2x 18650 batteries, I don't find it pocket friendly and if I bring it out, it will be in the holster and clip to my belt.

If you wNt light that can be charged on the go, plenty out there that are using single 18650 battery. No need to invest on dedicated Li-Ion charger coz all you need is a USB cable and power source to plug your cable.

You might want to consider the Olight S1 Baton too.
They both use CR123 primary battery or 16340 Li-Ion rechargeable battery.
The CR123 battery can still be found at some hardware stores or camera stores

i used to carry E15 on my keychain... but after awhile found it too heavy...
now my keychain has olight i3e...
