shocking.gif  drool.gif Sweet! Do update once you receive the light which is the better one.
The TM16 I think is almost the same price with the Fenix 75C. Is this light much better?
*
On paper, the Nitecore is better specs against the Fenix.
4000 lumens vs 2800 lumens
Only recently Fenix refreshed the TK75 with 4000 lumens, but the new version has not been released yet, so no review so far.

Just wanna share that the Nitecore TM16 and the Olight M2X-UT are selling for US$118 and $66 respectively at the moment at Gearbest.
I don't think you can find anywhere cheaper, unless you buy bulk from the factories

It's been quiet here lately.
Just wanna share my old lights collection, but include the newer Jetbeam C8 that I kept inside my glove box.
My other lights, including the TM16 and M2X-UT are still unopened at my other home.

Also placed an order for Convoy S2+ in matching blue and red.
Have to stop buying branded lights due to unfavourable forex nowadays sad.gif

I though I can start playing with my M2X-UT and TM16 this long weekend in Singapore, but the haze here is just terrible this past 2 days.
At least in KL the thunderstorm in the morning or late afternoon managed to clear some of the haze.

Build-quality wise, to me Nitecore still 1 rung lower than those lights made by Olight and Fenix. Maybe I'm just a bit biased as I have some lights made by these 2 brands since 2007/08 that still working fine.
Nitecore is also very stingy with accessory for their TM16 when their other EDC lights like MH20, EC4, EC11 are generously equipped.

For now, have to do with size comparison only with my other lights here.

drool.gif Feel like want to rob you man. How is the M2X UT and TM16 performing?
The haze will give nice visible beamshot.  thumbup.gif
*
In real world situation, the TM16 is more useful as it has a nice balance of throw and spill, but you will notice the weight on your hand after a while.
The head can warm pretty quick if using Turbo mode, but the High mode at closed to 2k lumens is good enough.

The M2X-UT beam is pencil thin, so far walk about, not so useful but the head doesn't get warm quickly when on Turbo mode.
My M2X is the new version, i.e. not the real domeless emitter when it was first launched, but still have the green tint.
So tint snob might not like the beam colour.

And this just in, the baby brother of M2X, the S1 Baton.
Size comparison with the Javelot.

Those P60 styled are classic, evergreen.
Any more classic, and you need to go back to Maglite 2x D cell light biggrin.gif

I think I'm done buying normal light, and should start looking at custom light.
Btw, looking only blush.gif

So many drops-in module for P60, from affordable to "can buy another Surefire" pricing, can scare newbies from venturing into this category unless they know what they are looking for or have a fixed budget.

As for Mag, the 3D or 4D are best kept in the car.
At least if got stopped in some roadblock, easier to answer to the police, compared to a baseball bat or a Rambo knife.

Guys I might pull the trigger on the zebra light sc52 due to the side and it using 1 AA battery only. Any other alternatives to consider? biggrin.gif

I'll be using my Eneloop XXX

Or the older brother SC600 is worth the jump in price? biggrin.gif
*
I have the 1st gen SC600 since it was released back in 2011 or 12.
It has served me well all these years, and has never give me any problem whatsoever.
If you want the SC600, rumour has it that the version3 will be launched soon, so you might want to hold your horses first.

The SC52 is the old model, and the new model, the SC5, has a max output of 500 lumens.
The thing with ZL is you are paying a premium for their brand.
No doubt it is a true workhorse that seldom goes wrong, but if you're not using it as your daily beater, something cheaper might serves your better.

But if your heart is already set on ZL, just go for it thumbup.gif

Thanks. I think I changed my mind, prefer more flood type but a good throw distance is welcomed too.

Prefer AA because of convenience and the hopefully there's a good or around RM100 to RM150  as I will rarely use it smile.gif

What do you think about the Fenix E20 or E25? Both is RM 150 smile.gif
*
I'm not familiar with the 2 Fenix models, but I'm not that keen with 2AA body, as you can't slip it into your pants pocket.
As the previous poster, you might want to look at the Nitecore EA11.
If you frequent BLF, you can ask the discount code for EA11 and sometimes they can be had with steep discount from the usual China online stores.

*
Free shipping, as Banggood is China-based online store.
The free shipping normally take about 2-3 weeks from China, but longer for battery

EA11 is pretty fat...roughly thinner than a soda can...not very EDC-able....

The best EDC to me are all single cell...even typical 18650 is too long unless u get the shorter type like the recent release from Nitecore MH20.. nod.gif
*
EA11 is not that fat, if you compared to MH20.
Photo below, taken from the web, shown the comparison.

Wont the the battery in the mag would damage and spoil if you keep inside the car (especially under hot sun)
*
Those were the days.
Nowadays, doubt people still keep Mag inside their car, or even own a Mag tongue.gif
Alkaline will leak, so D or C cell Mag are not a good choice anymore.

I've been keeping CR123-based lights inside my glove box, from Pelican M6 LED back in 2004 to Fenix P3D nowadays.
At one time, I even had a Surefire E2e as my glovebox light, until I found out that people are still asking good money for it as it has been discontinued.

I think I'll stick with the Zebralight SC52 as I can't find anything better for RM220. Talking about the size, intensity and also being able to use a single AA battery smile.gif

https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...5&hl=zebralight

Even the Amazon page is more expensive, not to mention the price of the newer SC52W.

Btw, not too sure whether to take the W version or not hmm.gif
*
Get the Neutral white version. The tint is more pleasing to the eyes biggrin.gif
With your naked eyes, you will be hard press to notice the 20 lumens advantage of the cool white over the neutral white.
