if i apply for this package 1 week ago, opting for the 30 days quarantine...

BUT 1 week later, they still have not terminate my Internet..

does it mean that my application is still not processed?...do i have to call them to ask?...

anyone encounter this situation of TM not cancelling their Streamyx even after 1 week?..pls advise..

I submitted my Termination Form last week but they said need to postponed due to system upgrading until 12th April. Now 15th April, and I still can online with my current Screamyx! WTF with them lar... argh!!!!!!! Terminate my account also so hard? Looks like I need to go to another TMPoint to re-submit my Termination Form and Application Form. Screw TM!!!

walao...i tot my brother is the only case...celaka TM...u sama nasib too...sighhhh~~~

nvm, let it be lah...ask my brother follow up on them when he is free...he's now up to his neck with school assignments...probably a gud thing to have the existng internet too...looking on the bright side...but still screw Tm lah... tongue.gif

I called 100 yesterday to check streamyx status, but then tehy say no record yet, ask me to call menara TM point, but the number tehy gave me seem to go throught some sort of fax sound..

ANyone know the number?

ur fixed line done d? u can check ur streamyx status thru MIPS or SAMS ...

DOne, MIPS and SMAS is selfcare isit? It say no order found, so I wan to call back to TMPOINT because I cant go ter anytime soon as I am busy

yup..they can't process u'r Unipack as long as the current package still not terminated

10-4-2010 Called to 100 service line again and get the latest status from them. Been informed that Encik Rahman is the installer and got his handphone number. Called to that handphone number, Encik Rahman nicely explained to me that today he can't make it because he have to come to my house to do some upgrading in order to get 4MB, and some people not working today so that he can't do the service for me. He will contact me again in the coming Tuesday to do the installation and upgrading. He also admitted that the order form that under my name and MIPS order name is now in his hand so no worry.

13-4-2010 Streamyx technician came to me home and received bad news from him, but learned new knowledge, story goes below:

384kbps, 512kbps and 1mbps are using ADSL_G.dmt port, which is different from higher package. Packages such as 2mbps, 4mbps or higher are using ADSL 2+ port. Even you can get 15 above SNR for your ADSL_G.dmt port, there's no gurantee for you that you can get 15 above SNR for your ADSL 2+ port. Just like my case, my ADSL_G.dmt port can get 22db to 29db SNR at any time. While switch to new TM Homeline that is running ADSL 2+ and capped at 5mbps, my SNR goes down to 9db, which is really bad and cannot support 4mbps. To support 4mbps, you must have at least => 15db of SNR and =< 40db Attenuation. So even the TM point service people tell you that your area can support 4mbps, you still have to go to the 2nd level of checking, that will be done by the Streamyx technician.

Now I am suspecting that my new TM Homeline is having problem in between the copper line and the phone post in front of my house. Already called the contractor and tomorrow they will come and have a look at the phone post, then do the fixing. I just hope after the fixing, I can get 15db and above for my SNR so that I can install 4mbps.

14-4-2010 TM contractor came to my house again, all of us did a lot of testing and changing, finally confirmed that my area can't support 4Mbps although there's ADSL 2+ port for 4Mbps. Cannot support 4Mbps due to having bad rating for SNR and Line Attenuation. Already contacted my Streamyx technician to cancel my 4Mbps order, will head back to TM Point to re-apply 2Mbps package to see whether can support or not.

My CoolUniPack 4Mbps journey ends here. New 2Mbps package journey will be opened soon until I submit my application.
actually G.dmt port also can support up to 10mbps, you can check on attainable rates in your modem.
last time, i was on unipack 512kbps and my line capped on 1.5mbps using G.dmt. I got some frens in T m and ask them to upgrade my line to highest cap.
I tested with 4mbps and then 8mbps to check whether I will face frequent dc.
So with 8mbps line cap and my acct still 512kbps, my speedtest initial speed is 7mbps and then reduce to +-500kbps.

Then my fren also gave me the account id with 8mbps cap (testing id), tried to login and the download result is 800-900kB/sec.

Now already upgraded to 4mbps since the 8mbps id is for tm purpose which my fren also doesnt have power to amend the id. Now, I can see from my modem that my line is ADSL2+

Conclusion is, even your DSL mode is G.dmt, actually it can support to 8mbps, so for sure you can subscribe 4 mbps. All u have to do is just convince tm/contractor to do this.

Based on wikipedia, G.dmt can support to 12mbps and ADSL2+ can support to 25mbps.

How about noise margin and attenuation? They both need to be taken into account as well. Coz I applied and failed for the same reason like him. Now just applied 1Mbps..

today morning tm ppl called me n said will come to fix the line today but until now i havent received any call.so anybody know wat should i do?i called 100 they just told me to refer to tm point!
