Those who wants to operate two electrical appliances one after another at different timing. Especially playing 2 amplifiers alternately in the bird house.

Anyone can advise where and how can I modify the current light switch (one gang clipsal) to the timer control light switch, which I can set to on & off the light.

You need to provide the timer circuit for us to see how is the wiring. Just the front look cannot understand.

If you intend to use hager, than read through this topic.

If I use Hager. There will be a ugly timer beside the existing light switch. Nit sure there us anything that can replace the light switch... With simple timer switch just like a normal time switch and flat enough... Ti replace the standard clipsal switch.

Std switch don't have neutral line. Most timer require Live + neutral to run.

I just got an electrician do mine for me. RM 85 for Hager EH 711 and RM 50 to install. Liked his work so asking him to do another one for me. This time need to drill a wall and put teh timer inside the houose and pull a neutral wire from the room light source. For That installation charge RM 80.

EH711 can install in db. If you need it to drive higher current equipments u need to install a relay.

Lights is small current, no issue. You need to check if your outdoor light does it seperate from others lighting circuit. Most house will share one circuit for all lighting, or maybe two circuit for entire house lighting. If is share you won't be able to control it from DB.

bro,
thanks for your reply.
sure, will check the circuit with my contractor. i dont want to install the timer next to switch....
but the timer can work for 3 gang switch right (sharing the light - indoor & outdoor)....but very ugly then...
to install next to every light (4-5 timers) will very costly...huhuhuuhu

tq again bro
