okie so there are two options,

actually im planning to DIY the hager and power cables myself so it doesn't matter to me.. due to the way i implement the lighting..

i can't use photo sensor.. eg back light that comes on at midnight

cause between evening to midnight , there is the kitchen light bathroom lights that provided some/little illumination..

so back to the question, where to get in PJ area.. ??

Wondering how to install the timer (wiring) if is to be installed beside the porch light? There is only 2 wires at the light.

While someone mentioned ...

1 - Neutral
2 - Live
3 - <Nothing>
4 - Live
5 - Wire to light

do note, with that wiring, the 1 Gang switch act only as By-Past switch where the load can be turn on anytime by the user. User would have no control once the timer is in "on" position.

If you are willing to OFF the timer by open the cover, might as well forget about installing the By-Pass switch.
Just ON/OFF the timer by open the cover whenever you want to do manual switching.

Anyone can advise where and how can I modify the current light switch (one gang clipsal) to the timer control light switch, which I can set to on & off the light.

sure, will check the circuit with my contractor. i dont want to install the timer next to switch....
but the timer can work for 3 gang switch right (sharing the light - indoor & outdoor)....but very ugly then...
to install next to every light (4-5 timers) will very costly...huhuhuuhu

hai, need help, i had installed the hager to auto on and off 7pm - 7am.
however in between the time i cannot switch off the light even i off the swtich. pls help how to off the light.

anyone know why my hager timer suddenly have the 'seconds' clicking sound. Like some clock each time the second needle move, it will have a clicking sound. It used to be no sound. Is it time to change or there is a quick fix for it?

About the timer for porch light, since there's no neutral line next to the switch, I guess it should be ok to just install the timer next to the light itself right? As my porch light is those normal 4' fluorescent light, I'm ok with the timer box siting next to it.

Hey just thought of updating you. Was away.
Today I went back to the shop and got it check. Confirm it's ok.
So check again and apparently my neutral at the other end came off...that's why the clock was not working but the switch works manually.

Now it's working..

Next will connect another light to this timer. So one timer control two lights.

Yeah. Thing was I covered back the cover swicth to the aircond ....didnt know it tercabut...

my hager eh711 clock running delay about 15mins per day ..adjusted to correct time ..next day time delay again...

how to know eh711 using battery backup or capacitor ?
if battery ..the battery changeable?
