QUOTE(craftsnknots @ May 11 2012, 10:58 AM) Just screw? If I'm an intruder i can unscrew it quitely and get in ithink.. I thought they use some plug thing? no? I read it somewhere on this forum itself..you need to read all the pages la..I think WeiKee said it before Usually they will use mid size screw, weld it, then grind the head. Lastly paint it.

QUOTE(cvshi515 @ May 8 2012, 08:56 AM) Got my grille and gate from Three Kim. Very satisfied with Ivy's customer service. And I believe their price is very competitive too . From my opinion, the grille is ok, meet my expectation. But the fact is they are responsive to your request. Feel free to give Ivy a call. Which i believe you can get their number in the previous post. can i have the Three Kim contact from u? thks in advance

True? and does anyone use this harden aluminium for grille, and how strong is it compare with MS Harden aluminium is just harden the surface. It not alter the structure of the aluminiun itself. Harden aluminium is for stand against the friction and any surface rough contact. If you hammer the aluminium structure, it still will bend like normal.

Hi all, my parent's house is 20+ years and need some kind of touch up. I'm planning to paint it + change all the main windows/grills. But I foresee both will be done by different contractors. Please advise which should be done first, painting or replacing the windows/grills? Is there any recommendation for budget painting and windows/grills replacement? The location is PJ. I read some of past posting and read about 3Kim but their location is Kajang. Thanks!

Hi all, After reading through, from what I understand, if do galvanized + powder coat will be better and last longer. Just wondering, if use mild steel + galvanized + powder coat, how to know whether did they actually do galvanized for us or not? Coz after that, will put on powder coat, so won't know whether underneath that powder coat layer izit galvanized or not... anyone knows how to check? Just don't want to kena conned later Also, powder coat means it's not smooth surface but something like orange peel skin surface with a bit of bumps (bumpy surface) right? Hope to get some advice on this... thanks!

However, may be you can visit the supplier factory to see how they process the galvanization of steel? Powder coated doesn't mean the surface is rough, it can be smooth surface as well like white color powder coating for Bathroom Bi-Fold door. However, powder coating process ensure that the paint of the surface is last longer & durable compared with normal painting process. Correct me if I'm wrong. Hmm, guess I'll just have to trust the grill supplier that they galvanized 1st before powder coat the grill, unless I follow them throughout the whole process when they are doing my grills Ok, so powder coat surface can be smooth... but why izit some powder coat surfaces are a bit rough like orange peel skin? Different ways of processing (longer oven baking time, etc.)? This post has been edited by cheekily: Jun 6 2012, 10:57 AM

I think its a diffrent coating product. Dunno they use same method or not.

Your choice...
