hahahaha as I said, shooting the moon takes loads of patience hahahaha I took this during the Earth Hour last month. Got nothing to do, so I spent the whole hour outside my home shooting the moon and messing with all the settings to get it right. It was a good investment And yeah... I cropped it

For those who are short of cash and can only afford a D3000, I took this pic using my D3000. It's a decent camera la, just that it's not as good as its other older brothers only

it won't be that good right using kit d3k kit lens..

kit lens are actually very very good.

but it can't take much of bokeh shots?

depends on how and what you shoot. if you want easy bokeh, you'll need big aperture lenses like the 50mm or 85mm f/1.8 / f/1.4, etc.

It is quite ok la with kit lens...

Worse comes to worst, just increase the distance between the object in focus and the background

Of course with a fast lens you can get better bokeh effects, and that's what those fast lens are for in the first place, higher aperture. But for poor chaps like me, just make do with what I have lor hahahaha

LOL, I shoot the moon during Earth Hour too. Wanted to get pictures of turned off lights, but Melaka state bo steady one . Not supportive .
