QUOTE(Kent3888 @ Apr 28 2010, 02:20 AM) Wat u mean way too far to compare with? u mean Sony too good or too bad? I'm comparing EOS 7D - Sony A550 - Nikon D90 / D5000 i mean cant compare with sony coz sony just started the dslr market...while nikon have already in the market for many year than sony...one more thing, sony doesn't just produce dslr...they make other thing as well,so is hard for sony focus on dslr market... QUOTE(kalido @ Apr 28 2010, 09:10 AM) everyone's recommending the D90 its a 18-105mm VR lens for the d90 kit.Ok guys, can someone help me with the best street price for this as kit ( 70 - 105 mm , is that rite ? ) and with genuine warranty pls..... and whereabouts ? cheers fellas Market price is around rm3300, just go to the nearest place around your area. No point going for a cheap so far away to scout for the price, if its too expensive then just go kl area just make sure its nikon warranty. |

QUOTE(C.P.U @ Apr 28 2010, 09:42 AM) So far there's no specification rumors on the replacement yet, don't worry so much about it! Besides, if you're budget is RM3.3k now, when the replacement comes out it won't be RM3.3k anyways and would be out of your budget. Unless you're prepared to pay the new price for the replacement then it is worth waiting. |

for me, i think not really worth to buy thing tat's just launch,
bcoz the launching price sure is very high, and there will be a drastically price drop later.. (juz like D90, from Rm4500 drop to Rm3300) and i also don't want to be the white mouse, i prefer to wait for review of the product, and user comments, then only decide buy it or not. |

D90 launched at 3900+ then went to 4000+ then now 3300+.
RM4699 was the retail price, but not the usual street price. |

QUOTE(Kent3888 @ Apr 27 2010, 10:15 PM) Anybody here experienced in shooting moon? I plan to get a nice clear image of the moon, cropping it out, since my range cant reach like those 500mm.... I heard the setting is 1/1000s F8 iso500, any better recommendation? Shooting the moon takes lots of tries and practice. You have to mess with the Shutter and Aperture in M mode Here's mine during last month ![]() Aperture: f/7.1 Shutter: 1/250 Focal Length: 200mm I only have 55-200, so that's the max that I could zoom ISO: 200 and Handheld Cheers This post has been edited by nkymark: Apr 28 2010, 11:10 AM |

just came back from HN after getting a feel for the D90 , D500 and Canon 500
Guys, I was reading bout " AF Servo " feature and apparently on a Nikon it is engaged by switching the focus mode to " Continuous ". Now, I know that the D90 has a in-body focus motor, is that the same as AF Servo and since the D5000 lacks this, would I loose the " continuous " AF mode ? IF not what do I loose by not having this focus motor ? thanks |

D5000 has AF-C as well, which is continuous AF. Only thing different is it can't AF with lens like 50mm f/1.8D which is driven by the body's screw motor.
