From the tests so far, you get unifi also no use, the speed would be about the same as streamyx when connecting to international sites

It's not the actual transfer speed - that is impossible.

What's happening is that your Flash applet is picking up the file from your browser's cache, not the server, and misreporting the speed.

Midway through my installation now. No drilling was needed, they just pulled the fiber cable in and set it up. Install has been delayed for 1 hour+ cause IPTV is f**ked up for some reason (ignoring user/pass) but so far speeds have been good. 2.4MB/s download and upload locally with normal torrents maxing out at 2.2-2.4MB/s biggrin.gif

i bought a new wireless N router for it thinking that i could use my own router lol in the end.. failed.. called tm.. they say pakai barang TM!! .. zzzzz cannot change.. they program it into the fibre modem already.. even have to access to reboot or set your router.. without needing to come to your house.

If you just want wireless range, you can use your own router as a WiFi access point by connecting it to their d-link router. However the dialup session will still be managed by their router.

Hosting games should be fast. I pinged some fragnetics SG servers, its 12-14ms while I'm torrenting at 2MB/s. Local server ping is only 3-4ms.

I just picked a random server from the US. I'll post more later if I have the time.

Speedtest.net is not reliable at the moment, their msian server is maxing out at 16mbps down for me and 2mbps up.. but when I tested on my own tmnet and jaring server, its 20mbps both ways.

hopefully.. apparently still alot user stay with streamyx. if client end is the bottleneck, host game with unifi might not get what we expect.
