It seems like they're still undecided about the FUP yet, which's mean limit cap most likely will be changed. Then why did they want to put cap already? Maybe they want to see how ppl react about the quota and adjust it accordingly later.

If there's no capping whatsoever until next year, then basically you' get 1/2 year of uncap connection, plus no RM300 installation fee along with RM800 worth of free stuffs, and the rest of 1 1/2 year you can only pray they'll give a reasonable download quota.

Sound good?

No, not at this time.  However, TM is researching how to implement a  Fair Usage Policy (FUP)and we expect it to be enabled next year across all products.

Across all products??? So Screamyx will soon be capped next year also?
Looks like no more "unlimited" broadband package from TMnut soon, at least for resident.

Midway through my installation now. No drilling was needed, they just pulled the fiber cable in and set it up. Install has been delayed for 1 hour+ cause IPTV is f**ked up for some reason (ignoring user/pass) but so far speeds have been good. 2.4MB/s download and upload locally with normal torrents maxing out at 2.2-2.4MB/s biggrin.gif

Can you help me to ping 202.156.3.179?

Ping is good, almost as same as when I ping www.tm.net.my using 4MB.

Btw I already subscribed VIP5 yesterday at TMpoint DU, but they only told me that the installation will be done within one week time, so date given. Did they tell you the exact date?

When I signed up the VIP5 package this Monday, the staff only told me that the installation will be done within 1 week time, no date given. I think I'm going to TMpoint and ask them to arrange a date for me instead of waiting them to call, scare later delay here delay there.

Wonder why TM being so inconsistent. For some of us, the date were given and the others no date was given. Where is your location anyway? Wonder if it is because for some locations there are overwhelming response

I think all their technicians have been fully-booked, so they can't really give you a date.

Finally the installation is done. Supposedly it can be done around 1PM, but they figured out the fiber cable that connects from the telephone pole to my house was broken, so have to recable it again.

The team has 3 ppl, one is TM staff and the other 2 are contractors. I asked one of the contractr that how long has he been working for this Unifi, he told me he started 3 days ago. I asked him again any training before he started this Unifi installation work, and guess what he told me no, he just saw how the TM staff did at the 1st day and the second day he has to do all along, of course the TM staff will keep looking during the installation.

So far so good, can get around 600+KB/s when downloading nvidia driver, ping to www.unifi.my is 2ms, but somehow ping to SG is screwed up, 60ms to 80ms, same issue when I use 4MB Streamyx, quite irritating.

51ms stable

Remember not too long ago I asked you to ping this server, and you told me you got less than 15ms. Do you also suffer with ping issue when you play BC2 at SG server? Kinda irritating that ping to SG is still screwed up just like Streamyx, and guess what I connected to SG VPN server and I can get 20+ms.

Which DECT phone are they giving? By Aztech? So any opportunities to add more DECT phones?
*
Right now it's Aztech, and the TM installer told me that other brand will be available later(next year?), such as Panasonic atc.
