I've been reading this thread since it started. They are comparing services from SG and MY. Well im currently in NZ for another 3 years and I think UniFi is better than any service over here.(besides the cap) Internet over here is very fast but damn expensive. Im paying RM 250 for 10mbps with only a 30GB package. If I pass my 30gb I need to pay RM5 for every GB I pass. Sigh...

malaysians are used to being pampered with no cap. i was in aussie, adsl+ internode also got cap. each month 100+ aud i think. compare sg and malaysia like compare peanut to watermelon

maybe u all just too rich or dont bother or ur ISP is just taking advantage of you and u guys just keep quiet
in taiwan where even free stuff shrink by 1cm they will shout on media and consumer sue company if their price is unreasonable(even with black and white contract)....police didnt do their job properly lead to property dmg/financial lost....they can sue government for compensation(wonder when will this happen in our country)...their 10mbs only 30 to 6x RINGGITMALAYSIA

Wonder why TM being so inconsistent. For some of us, the date were given and the others no date was given. Where is your location anyway? Wonder if it is because for some locations there are overwhelming response
*
i signed up from a phone call. no need to que like a noob and go to tm point haha. Coz last time i did that need to wait more than an hour to get to my turn (4 numbers away)
phone the phone call they can check your area can get or not, when their technician is free and they give me a date. after that call they sent me an email as confirmation/ icon_rolleyes.gif

So whatever, I'll be enjoying my 20mbps access, 190ms latency in WoW and 3ms latency in local FPS servers while you troll about a company and a service you can't even apply for. rclxms.gif

QUOTE(rizvanrp @ Apr 3 2010, 11:32 PM)
Actually I do a lot of programming with Windows and Linux, work projects, uni assignments and personal hacks. Infact, if you just type 'frees' into Google you'll see search recommendations such as 'freestyler 0.6/0.7' which is a really popular bot I made for some lame game in my spare time.

By Windows SDK I meant the SDK containing the necessary function definitions (header, libraries, etc) for using say, the winsock library in your project. It's about 4.0GB in size and is unique to your operating system and CPU architecture. This is probably the largest thing you would download next to the MSDN library which is available online for browsing. As for GUI toolkits like wxwidgets, I alternate between wxdevc++ and visual c++ depending on whether I need to include inline ASM into my code (seeing as I'm not so proficient with AT&T assembly syntax). If I'm not mistaken, I'm sure wxDevC++ is less than 50MB.

Anyway, my experience aside.. I just don't see downloading programming libraries as an excuse for high bandwidth consumption. In many uni level assignments, most students will get their files from their lecturer or classmates. For example if you do indeed need MSSQL server (non express version) for a project, you would pick the DVD up from campus or get it from a friend. Even if you do download everything, at most you're looking at 5-10GB of files in total.

If you're going to 'raep' the bandwidth, it's going to be on Youtube, torrents and direct downloads. For some reason Youtube is streaming for HSBB users at 2.0MB/s per video which is really weird hmm.gif

Your FDP is underground (the normally green box that looks like a mineral water bottle turned upside down) or on the pole?
btw, didn't know that they work on Sundays... must be due to the overwhelming demand
*

how to set the aspect ratio in iptv to 16:9? 16:10? now it's 4:3 locked in setting icon_question.gif

So you got UniFi already, mind sharing about your other 4MB connection ?
Did they allow u to terminate ?
Mind posting some picture of the IPTV decoder ? Front & back ?
*
can only terminate end of june. CS said just use unifi until end on june and pay only the same amount as 4mb. after june terminate streamyx then pay the full amount of unifi
