if too expensive, just save more money and buy later. isnt that the norm. or buy next year..heh. or if you think that the vendor is conning you than buy from other vendor.
just make sure the decision is an informed decision as the senior forummers say..
and while we are arguing blackest, vibrant, etc...why not look on the other side..at what price are these being achieved..
i dunno about tv but reading those suicides in foxcon really stop me thinking on upgrading on electronics stuffs..

i have pretty screwed myself up yesterday and today . my 50" V20 will take delivery this saturday and last night ,i just made full payment for a nice italian design TV cabinet from a highly extravaganza furniture shop near Damansara Heights . only today i realize my present TV cabinet can fit in a 50" set after some dismantling work .

In fact pretty much whole of Asia and Ocenia (Australia/NZ) is getting the V we are getting.
As far as I know, only Europe has the "real" V since most of the reviews (and hence our references/opinions formed) are from there.

What is the equivalent of this http://panasonic.co.id/web/pid/8635 in malaysia? It seems to be the V10S Europe is getting (since it's got the THX thingy)? That's a 2009 model. Should be replaced by the 2010 V20 model without THX which is the same situation as in Australia/NZ. That's why some Aussies are now rushing to get the V10s before it goes out of stock since the V10 aesthetics is much better and it has THX certifications. I read some comments from the aussie whirlpool forum. For 2009, Malaysia offered X10, S10, G10, Z1s and the 65V10. So, the closest match should be the P54Z1S or the 65V10K in Malaysia. Whirlpool? Really? What's your aura? ;-) About V20 http://panasonic.co.id/web/productssolutio...v/vieraplasmatvThey seem to offer them along with V10S? This post has been edited by lookig4room: Jun 3 2010, 10:57 PM

Well ... if you can still find retailers holding left-over stock. Pana site will still advertise it just like in Malaysia but you will be hard-pressed to find a S10 or a G10 unit still in stock. Most of them would have already sold it off at greatly discounted prices due to incoming new models or replaced it with the 2010 models. If you can find a V10, it may be a good idea to consider it. It looks really great from what I hear and the price is the same as a V20. Of course, you don't get Viera Cast and internet connectivity but they are vastly overrated IMHO

50" V Series TV, in one hall, connected to astro decoder has excellent pic quality, just like showroom quality (haven't got astro beyond yet).
Another 50" V Series TV on another floor has much poorer pic quality as it's connected via a transmitter (Euro Uno brand - also used to change astro channels)
Any method to boost pic quality for 2nd TV?

Average Singaporean earn SGD5000 and above. So, its less than one month's pay for most Singaporeans RM6499 is very high. Most wage earners earn RM2000 and below only. Infact statistics show something like 70% of working Malaysians earn RM2000 and below It should be priced cheaper in Malaysia. This post has been edited by michaeltan1943: Jun 5 2010, 10:04 AM

I posted this in the Toshiba ZV600E thread and I hope sifu here can advise me. main use of the TV would be for Astro Byond and later to play MKV file via media player.
I'm thinking of choosing between 47ZV600E and Panasonic TH-P50V20 where both have very good comments from forumers. hence can anyone recommend which one to buy ? I'm neutral to whether it is LCD or Plasma TV.
