jitbeng,
After actually writing this, more info on the rising blacks has been uncovered. The portion that causes rising blacks in the Panny sets will also effect sets in Asia and the world over.
anfieldude,
Actually it was this post below by you in the "Everything About Plasma, LCD & LED's LCD TV V5.00 How flat can it be? (Post No.436) that I wanted to show regarding the raising black level. My apology.
anfieldude@Jan 23 2010, 07:11 AM:-
I have read and talked to some calibrators in the US that the US G series (THX) has a problem where the black levels are increasing with time. It is a firmware bug and it is not clear if it being addressed correctly. The voltage adjustment mechanism is not correct and as such the black levels increase with time. However, I cannot confirm if the same issue applies for our sets as our firmware is different.Hopefully our sets will not be affected. Only time will tell. Anyway I read that even if affected it will hardly be noticeable under normal viewing conditions.
Interesting read regarding this at:-

wonder why panasonic stop producing s10

S10 is 2009 model. So naturally stop production in order to produce 2010 model.
In the US S1(2009) is being replaced by S2(2010) already sometime in January 2010. But S1 is still selling there & the irony is that the 2010 model is selling cheaper than the 2009 model. So hopefully will happen here also.
Check here (US website):-
http://panasonic.com/ Here S10 almost sold out or sold out. And don't know what the 2010 model will be named - S12 maybe?
I read somewhere the 2010 model will definitely come out by end of this month.
Thanks
