QUOTE(PoorMan @ Mar 30 2010, 08:37 PM) I'm looking forward for the V series. 2 factors to consider though at this point in time: - promotions before World Cup - black levels degradation over a short period of time. Is it confirmed that Asian units are affected as well? i am looking at V series also....but any rough estimate on the price? 2009 V series only offer 65", but 2010 V now has 42 and 50", which looks something "reachable".... Official price not available yet. Sometime in Apr/May ... just in time for World Cup Someone posted earlier 42" LED LCD D series is slightly less than RM5K. My guess is that the 42" V Series will be around the same/slightly cheaper than the D series Anyone here with 2009 S10/G10 with more than 1000 hours can confirm if the black levels do degrade?

Check out AVSforum, many Panasonic V20 owners saying that the 2010 model have "floating black" issues.
better stick with 2009 models then, floating black is worse than rise in black for me

Compare PV80 and the current plasma, any different? Why PV80 is 4k while current plasma only 2k?
Added on April 1, 2010, 11:25 amhow come model number of US is different from ours? in AVS forum, they talk about G25. I don't think we have such Plasma right?

Just back from the CIMB Prefect Living fair. Panasonic is selling thier new range of Plasma & LCD. They quoted me RM 4499 for the latest 42" LED, plus a free gift photo frame (worth RM 149). Sound very attractive Also, the 42"X28 Plasma is selling at RM 2299, plus a free gift of photo frame (worth 149). Hurry and go to have a look if you are interested.
