Cool...seems like G series no longer being offered in MY. Wonder how much V series are, for 42" and 50". Anyone has any insider news?

I'm looking forward for the V series. 2 factors to consider though at this point in time:

- promotions before World Cup
- black levels degradation over a short period of time. Is it confirmed that Asian units are affected as well?
*
i am looking at V series also....but any rough estimate on the price? 2009 V series only offer 65", but 2010 V now has 42 and 50", which looks something "reachable"....

Just back from the CIMB Prefect Living fair. Panasonic is selling thier new range of Plasma & LCD.

They quoted me RM 4499 for the latest 42" LED, plus a free gift photo frame (worth RM 149). Sound very attractive  drool.gif  drool.gif

Also, the 42"X28 Plasma is selling at RM 2299, plus a free gift of photo frame (worth 149).

Hurry and go to have a look if you are interested.

Anyone know what is the replacement model for P42G10K in 2010 ?
*
The recent panny launch press statement does not mention any G series to be available. So, guess it will not have any replacement model this year in MY.

Generally, G10, G15 are 2009 models....G20, G25 are 2010 models.

Guys can teach me how to detect all of theses things?I don't have much experience "telling how good a panel is" or "how good the PQ is "..

What is burn in and Image Retention?

I thought burn in is like "burning in speakers"?

If you guys want to have a preview of the Flagship Panasonic VT20 50", can check it out at Best Denki ( next to Burger King ) in Mid Valley. The 3d looks better to me than the Samsung 7000. Today they were showing Blood Diamonds in 2D.

How about the warranty programs? I believe we have 3 choices as far as i know:
1) Warranty coverage by the shop/seller.
2) Warranty by the manufacturer
3) Insurance

Anyone has any idea the estimated prices for the above 3 on Panny 42 or 50" V20? Any what are the major differences?

Anyone bought the panasonic extended warranty for either the 42V20 or 50V20? What are the prices and the differences compared with insurance and coverage given by some electical shop (eg, SenQ, Best)?

I was brief by the shop sales person that panny warranty does not cover transport. Meaning if your 50" is faulty, you will have to bring that TV to the nearest panny service center. Whereas SenQ sales person said their warranty covers everything, from the point to take your faulty unit to the service center, everything involved in the repair, and then bring back to the place the pickup, put back to the state it is when they collect it..... is this true?

I asked the panny person during the Vierra road show, in the bus. They keep saying they do not know details of the warranty... sweat.gif

Just contacted the manager of Sure Reach Express on breakage if deliver outstation. Sure Reach Express provides additional insurance to cover the damage. If the tv arrived and cannot be switch on, then it's Panasonic job to get it repair. The insurance is to cover breakage as this damage would not be cover by Panasonic.

Hope thi helps
Kevin

Hi Kevin,
Is that included in the transport charges, or it is an add-on that the customer needs to top-up? If so, how much additional we need to pay?

Thanks!
