Then, you have to contact Panasonic or your dealer for Avatar 3D.

I am not fimilar with Malaysia promotion, but here is what US promotion.

QUOTE
Buy a Panasonic 3D Blu-ray Player, Get Avatar 3D Blu-ray Free

Panasonic has expanded its Avatar 3D Blu-ray promotion, making it even easier for 3D enthusiasts to get the 3D BD edition of James Cameron's epic without having to pay extortionate prices on eBay. For a limited time, if you buy a Panasonic DMP-BDT100 3D-compatible Blu-ray player, you will receive a bonus copy of the Avatar 3D disc via mail-in rebate.

Buyers of a Panasonic HDC-SD750K 3D camcorder or the 3D Home Theater Systems SC-BTT750 or SC-BTT350 also qualify.

To receive the disc, you must have purchased the device between the dates of January 2, 2011 and March 26, 2011.

Alternately, when you purchase a Panasonic Viera 3D TV, you can get a 3D Starter Kit (including two pairs of 3D glasses and the 3D Blu-ray edition of Avatar) and your choice of a free Panasonic DMP-BDT100 3D-compatible Blu-ray Disc player, or $249.95 towards the purchase of an SC-BTT350 3D Blu-ray Disc Home Theater System. This was the original promotion announced by Panasonic in late 2010 (see Blu-ray.com, December 1, 2010)

is U series already phased out ?
I went to SenHeng and wanted to get 50" U series but was told its discontinue ?
Anyone know what is the best price can get for U series  ?

Should i get the V series 50", out of budget lahh

Jusco 1U was selling ~RM3899 (after rebate) in the weekend (probably 1 year warranty).
I have been watching 50U for ~9months with default setting and so far no Picture/Quality/Black level issues.
I paid RM5499 when it was first launched (free BD45/HDMI Cable and 5 years extended warranty)
I bought another BD45 Bluray Player for a friend at RM459 (Jusco); basic unit but fast loading and proven to play all Uncle Ho's BD.

Dude, I'm surprised if your 3D BD bundle does not include Avatar 3D disk. I remember clearly in December last year Panasonic was promoting the VT20 TV with the tagline ..something like ... be the first in Malaysia to watch Avatar in real 3D...".... And as you know, the reason Avatar 3D not available to consumer in general is because of the tie up of this 3D release to Panasonic. Anyway, enjoy your TV.

Forget about the headlines and look under the specifications. I'm pretty sure our V20K is without the infinite black pro even before I bought one. If you're looking for reviews, look for G20 for a closer match.
*
Correct ! .... if you look at the spec PDF .. it said : Panel : G13 Progressive Full-HD NeoPDP (Plasma Display Panel)/Infinite Black Panel"

once again , thanks mate

can i stream internet videos from my PC to TV using the ethernet port ? or is is through the USB port or just through HDMI port of the TV from the PC
*
You can use the ethernet port to get streamed videos from your PC media server PROVIDED that the PC meets the DLNA media server specs. I think Windows 7 has a built-in media server that can work with Panny although I have not personally tested this. I have a Windows XP and VISTA PCs and they both don't work very well and some video formats (e.g. rmvb and mkv) can't be played without a lot of tweaking.

As for the USB, you can only play Divx and Xvid encoded videos as well as media complying to AVCHD media format.

If you're using HDMI connection from your PC, basically you're using the TV as your PC screen. If your current PC can play the movies, your TV will be able to display it.

For me, I just use a media player (e.g. Yangxi's HDPro or WD Mini) that has LAN function to read and play videos from my PC shared folder on the TV.

Asked my dealer, they said they're still waiting for the disc. They're saying Sarawak didn't receive the disc yet. Anyways, I've contacted Panny CCC and they're gonna look into it.

In fact Plasma has a better picture quality compared to LED, its only that LED is brighter, but if you eyes likes the LED, then go with it. For more technical technical details, just scroll or search this thread.

panasonic can put whatever label they like, but I think our V20 got  inferior panel, even its contras ratio is of Dynamic type 5,000,000:1, compare to UK's specs they got native 5m:1

Finally pulled the trigger on P50V20 after a long consideration.. got it at RM4899 with cc 9x installments. Hope it's a good deal.

It's really hard to justify to the wife since my 10+yr old 34" Wega TV is still pretty much in pristine condition. doh.gif

Can't wait for the delivery in 2 day time .. rclxm9.gif

Hi all,

Have just got myself a TH-L42D25K from HN on the current offer. Pretty happy with the PQ and color and I went for this model due to it's IPS panel which is reputed to display very accurate photo colors. I like the Vieracast setup esp using a lan cable which requires sw updating and taking rather long even thru unifi5 (Downloading was interrupted once and I had to complete the downloading in the earlier morning when traffic was less). I'm hoping that someone can provide information on alternative webcam models to use for skype. The Panasonic webcam is expensive and looks rather unwieldy and cheap. Can logitech models be used?

Cheers

No, it wasn't bundled with BD player. It's just standard package with no HDMI cable.

Anyway I have a PS3 so don't need another basic BD player. More of waiting for the Dune Max with the new revision chip soon. Also I've already bought some HDMI cables from Monoprice quite sometime ago. So this bare bone offer is really what I need. nod.gif
