OK...after many banging of my head against the wall, final went with TH-P50V20K.
SO far no regrets and took extended warranty as well.

QUOTE(Optiplex330 @ Dec 1 2010, 02:21 PM) Hi. Would like to hear more from people who have actually compared the 50V and the 50U. Anything. On SD. On Normal Astro. On Astro Byond. On HD movies. Worth to pay RM2000 more for the 50V? Anything. Thanks. The difference right now is about RM1300-RM1500. Hence the gap between the cost is coming much closer.I went with V mainly because of :- contrast ratio 5,000,000:1 resolution: 1080 lines USB/wifi If the above is not important, U would be best value for money! QUOTE(Optiplex330 @ Dec 1 2010, 03:59 PM) When I compared side-by-side the X and the U, I found there is a lot of difference in PQ. The U is simply much better than the X. Thats true, and I felt the same when compared between U and V as well. I know its all confusing, but if you have the cash budget for RM5K then go with V else settle with U. Just my POV.Is the jump in PQ between the U and V just as significant? In terms of technicality anfieldude had advised well. |

QUOTE(Optiplex330 @ Jan 9 2011, 07:17 AM) Before buying 3D and especially with kids at home, best do some research on health effect. IMO, should proceed with caution. I dont think watching 3D all the time is healthy, but once in a while for certain movies...oklah The TV mode can be switched to 2D as well.... |

BTW, had anyone successfully connected via wifi on the V series. May I know which branch of adapter are you using?
Currently I have only SMC, and Panny doesnt recognize it From what I read netgear is certified, but wondering if you had tried any other brand; successful or otherwise... Thanks This post has been edited by VeeJay: Jan 9 2011, 08:01 PM |

QUOTE(G|O @ Jan 9 2011, 10:50 PM) hmm...im looking for a budget 40~42" LCD/Plasma, alot of fren intro me to get into panasonic..tats y im here..still reading the old post..still a long way to reach this pg.. its just my POV...if you lean towards vivid picture where its ultra clear then go with LED/LCD, else for more natural and soft and clean coloring, then Plasma is for you.. Why dont vist Panny website see what you like and then post questions here...amacam? This post has been edited by VeeJay: Jan 9 2011, 11:30 PM |
