dinster will help me to RMA but still need to get a green light from OCZ support, I guess...just like with Corsair...so still waiting patiently and hopefully it's not gonna be one week to get a feedback... cry.gif

If I remember correctly:

510-1 TCCD
510-2 BH5/UTT
510-3 BHT/UTT or TCCD (More general BIOS)

There's no 'only' for this or that RAM. Above is merely a general usage guideline. You can only tell which BIOS works best for you by trying the different BIOS's. It shouldn't be that hard to determine which BIOS works better for you after trying several. The trick is to set the new BIOS similar to what you set in your previous 'best' BIOS and check stability using the built in memtest. If its not stable, try tuning the timings a little(tigher or looser) and increase/decrease voltages. If you get plenty of errors, it usually won't be your 'best' BIOS.

Using that method I can very quickly determine which BIOS suits me best. For me, so far BIOS's with the 310 (510-3 BIOS) mem table seems to work best for me smile.gif

probably the 510-3...it's for tccd!

You can use 510-2 for TCCD too. 510-2 is based on 316, there is no such rule that TCCD must use 510-3 although it is stated there for guidance purposes.

I did that too, no problem. It is advisable to format if you want nice benchmark scores. tongue.gif

I strongly recommend you to reformat your hdd. I believe with a clean copy of windows and drivers will work better. smile.gif

// De_Cruelz :
like kienwee said, the extention for 510 BIOS is a reference on which copy of old BIOS it from [eg 310, 316]

the moded BIOS from hellfire was based on 3.16 memory table that can give the best and comfortest timing fot bh/ch/utt dies.
normally for bh/ch/utt users with the 316 based memory table can get a few MHz more higher than the 310 memory table

// gavlim :
i dont think it should be a problem...
i swaped my OS hdd from my p3 to amd64 without any problem laugh.gif

i read your thread at OCZ forum... sorry to hear that

anyway i think you should only tell them that it is not stable at Default timing(2.5-4-4-8) & Default rated voltage(2.6v)

according to the rated spec:
http://www.ocztechnology.com/products/memo...es_dual_channel

coz i'm not sure that OCZ give any warranty support if you state that 1st you already running it at 3.2V . then onli try rated timing . Not sure Value VX warraty up to 3.2V vdimm... sweat.gif

correct me if i'm wrong

just my 2 cents unsure.gif

it's like driving a F1 car and the developer guy said...hey, u shouldn't be speeding... biggrin.gif
but thanks for the support though...hope to hear from those guy soon...

just got my PM replied by Marcuz...he's asking about my mem setting...what's my tref, my dram drive strength...and how is it running at 3-3-3-8 (???)..on sticker mentioned 2.5-3-3-7...website is 2.5-3-3-8 (as per SPD)...and some also ada 3-4-4-7...how many version there is...anyway...gonna try on 3-3-3-8 and see what happen...ciao! and forgot to mentioned...he also asked something that I've scared of from the beginning...
Quoted directly from his PM,

like that ka...anyway...marcus mentioned nothing about the voltage yet except about the psu...and i've just ran the setting he mentioned at 2.8v, instant tons of errors. and the weird thing is that the mem bandwidth is 295Mb/s...already replied to him and awaiting for his next response, especially when he knows i'm using 20-pin native psu.

phew...that was fast...marcus has already asked me to send him the e-mail...and yes, he did mentioned about the psu but it seems more towards bad memory...i hate doing rma coz this might contribute to a possibility of price hike...but no choice maa...

Sorry to hear about the faulty ram remysix. Do you have a friend you can ask to test the ram? I doubt the problem is due to a 20 pin psu since you're only trying to run at default settings. If official BIOS still returns errors at your ram default setttings they should approve RMA without asking anymore questions.

yeah i doubt your psu is giving u problem as i'm using a 20pin psu as well. Furthermore, your another stick should have the problem if the psu is the cause. smile.gif
