what psu do you guys use with your Ultra-D? mind letting me know how the numbers are when idle and under load/after overclocking? wanna see how the psu performs before i go out and get one. price would be great too. need to work out a budget for the mobo/proc/psu/gfx card (damn pci-e, if not i use back my agp card sigh).

thats some luck u got kianwee was planning to get the ultra-d and pair it up with the OCZ PC4800 EL plat tccd BrainPower pcb rams. reason i am going for TCCD is i am scared of high voltage dinster selling these for RM1090 which is uber tempting. the plat rev2 are at RM790 <-- so kianwee i take it these rams run just fine now 512x2 with the new bios? how far can u oc the rams with this mobo?

oh man, i was going to buy the pc4000 gold vx but after reading those threads i'm having second thoughts.. not so much on the coldboot issue but the dead ram issue. seems most rams that died were UTT rams..

ray99mond: modular? isnt that the neopower series? remysix: yeah its to use with dfi ultra-d mobo.. 600w is a bit of an overkill.. i'm just going to run it with an x800xt/x850xt pe. show-time: dunno whether got stock or not.. hoping to get the antec II if its there. looking for ocz powerstream 520w.. but dont think can get that here right?

hey guys, arj was at lyp and told me no antec truepower II yet. was going to get him to buy an acbel 600w for me but after i told my brother, he said his friend's acbel 600w recently died whilst priming an overclocked rig..

lol i apologize for steering the thread into a psu one.. if anyone sees the antec truepower II in LYP let us know. pcmoddingmy.com did a review on the psu and it showed pretty solid rails. numbers barely moved from idle to load. was trying to find an online review for the acbel 500w but no luck. though arj tells me its fully sleeved and has lifetime warranty.

help needed..
just bought my gfx card and psu (x850xt pe and acbel 500w). tried to run my system for the first time.
i noticed the bios reads 3/10. i put my ocz gold vx pc4000 in slots 1 and 3, but on bootup it says "for single ram stick put in slot 2, for dual channel, use 1 and 3 blah blah blah".. cant boot up any further if using 1 and 3.
tried one stick in slot 2.. ok, can get into windows startup, but then hangs from there and then auto restart and the cycle continues.. can reach windows startup, then auto reboot.
whut should i try? tweak ram settings first?

i was worried about that.. the xp120 makes putting ram into slots 3 and 4 a real pain.

ok same problem.. once windows tries to boot (where there is that moving load bar), it will reboot automatically. i cant even get into windows to flash a new bios.
this is what i've tried.
remove power, remove cmos batt, reset jumper, wait a few minutes, replace jumper, replace batt. gold vx in slots 2 and 4.
turn on pc, go into bios, set optimized defaults. save and exit, enter bios again.. but i left everything on auto (including every ram setting.. do i need to up the vdimm if i leave at default? is this the reason why cant boot?)
same thing. reboot automatically at windows startup. tried upping vdimm to 3.00v, left timings everything at auto defaults. still cannot.
