Found the culprit (BIOS). DO NOT UPDATE TO F8. I tried downgrading to F7 and voila, AHCI is back biggrin.gif (waste my time reformating my pc thinking my os was the one causing it)

So problematic indeed...when BIOS is the culprit....
My MSI also using same chipset, AHCI worked flawlessly....

hehe biggrin.gif
ok i will do 2 notch up on all voltage later .
see if it helps .
anyway, im running my LLC at 19% .
seems like the best option cause vdrop only 0.02v and vdroop impressively 0.02v as well .

Some boards are like that
Even my MSI overvolts in Windows, set 1.44v in BIOS, in Windows it hovers around 1.46V to 1.48V maximum

To me overvolt still better than undervolting at full loads at least in my case

UPDATE: Prime95 Blend test 17 hours and 43 minutes error free ^^

mind to show your overclock setting? brows.gif

My OC settings are as follows:-

300HTT x 11 = 3.3Ghz
CPU-NB = 2400Mhz
HT Link = 2400Mhz
CPU-NB voltage = 1.2V
Vcore = 1.44V in BIOS
CPU:FSB ratio = 1:166 so its 500Mhz (DDR1000)
DRAM timings = 5-5-5-13-20-2T
DRAM voltage = 2.1V (OCZ Reapers)
SB Voltage: Auto
IGP OC: Disabled (default at 500Mhz)
Spread Spectrum = Disabled
AMD CNQ = Disabled
C1E = Disabled
SVM Support = Disabled

SuperPI 1MB = 20.686s
Wprime 32MB = 12.246s

The rest I forgot lol.....

HT Link voltage, I remember not seeing it in BIOS
I will post a pic at home with AMD Overdrive

Added on June 23, 2010, 8:07 pmEven with AMD Overdrive also I can't see anything ~_~
Since I didn't set any HT Link Voltage, I assume its 1.1V default

wao, default HT link voltage already can let HT link clock to that high already.
but 2400MHz for HT link, is it stable? usually people didn't push HT link.

Thanks dude~~
Guess I was lucky for my first time with AMD haha

I have finally learned the ways of how to OC AMD as well, along with current Intel chips

Just basically additional stuffs to tweak compared to my olden P4 days
