am2 != am3. i got no experience playin w/ propus cored chips but am3 chips should be capable of 300htt (or higher) w/ some tweaks. ofcoz, it depends on board too... 7xx series boards w/ sb710/750 like msi/gigabyte/asus/dfi or even biostar are capable to bring chips (those decent) to that level.

if stick w/ stock multi it could be too high for some chip, not all am2 as gud as f3 chips brought by bro dblooi. even retailed f3 5600+ was oso a let down.

that's d only preciouusss stuff i got, d rest are all cheapo...

it was a $10 top up usin my corsair dhx, guess i was lucky back then...

if ur referrin to volt, 1.80v w/ crucial value vs 1.6v on geil ultra vs 1.63v (can be lowered i reckon as i managed to run 1600 w/ 1.55v) on team lv.

if i were u i'll listen to d wise^^^... they've been there & done that, so don't repeat what they've gone thru...

buyin mobo is d most crucial decision apart from psu if there'll be some oc involve, u need not premium stuff but at least go for well established one (not necessarily expensive).

personally i'd really love to see how asus M4A77TD PRO fares. from paper, it looks like it has what it takes to be a great budget oc board. 8 + 1 pwm, 2 oz pcb, full solid caps, core unlockin, ddr3 1800 (oc)...

what bothered me was d fugly color theme... was stuck between 77td pro, 770-g45 & 790gx a3+, but in d end i opted for g45 which is slightly inferior - 4 or 5 + 1 pwm & non 2 oz pcb (vs 77td pro) for better look & bein adventurous (vs biostar 790gx a3+ which i've already tried twice). technically biostar is better than g45 (u can claim d former for havin better chipset but i doubt it would affect d ocibility much), especially voltage adjustment. not so sure bout 77td pro but if there's a chance for me to test it i wont mind to spend a day or 2 to have a run on it.

it's not a secret that i'm a asus basher. i'm not a fanboy of any brand (well, except dfi but from what i heard we can barely see any amd board from dfi nowadays). ofcoz, i will be happy to be proved wrong, w/ that kinda price tag, it's quite temptin to be honest. but d look... even biopening is better...

high end wise need not to elaborate more... cun but price is another turn off...

dfi all d way... but sadly we see nothing from 'em for 8xx series till now...

biostar 890fxe was a let down (5+1 pwm not really enuf for 6 cores imo), gigabyte ud3 w/ 4+1 pwm... if lucid hydra chip can do near to real x-fire performance, i'm rootin for msi 870a-gd60 on behalf of u guys (at least u) bro...

10+1 pwm & 2 * full 16x pci-e lanes for gfx... fwahhh...

i dun see anything funny here... not everyone is born into a rich family or has d capability to become rich @ young age (thou i'm not that young nemore ). at least i'm payin those loans w/ my own hard earn $$$.

890fxta ud5 is waitin for u...

there's nothing wrong w/ red pcb board, it's d color of dimm, pci-e, cpu bracket, ide, fdd and sata connectors that need to blend nicely w/ d color of mobo pcb. white is d best but if more needed than it mite spoil d look.

personally i find white pcb of some saphire board sexy...

dfi is d only choice for me if availability & $$$ is not a concern...

prime stable w/ 1.45v?

i supposed ur referrin to regor coz rana = tricore a.k.a propus/deneb w/ 1 core disabled.

nb vid, 1.175v.

prolly ts gotten a higher binned x2 which made as sempron...

usin cogage true spirit (w/ tr s-clip from my own) which cost me $30, sold d cm 212+ @ $35, got untung $5 + free tr thermo chill...

basically a mini TRUE, slimmer + less heatpipe. too bad it only comes w/ 1 pair of fan clips. mite be better w/ push-pull config...

ss pls, if possible do ss like mine or aod, cpu-z & hw monitor at least. d hardest part in tamin an unlocked chip is findin d sweet spot (acc value). once u're done w/ it, it's all pumpin voltage & fine tuning.

error in prime will give some hints too... if halt @ small fft like 512k below, most prolly vcore related, if larger fft more of imc/memory related. i think lah, not really accurate as diff board diff behaviour, one thing in common is if reboot during prime means either temp too high or vcore not enuf... my noob 2 cents...

blend test will do... what i meant was if error halt @ 512k or below (small value) most likely due to vcore not enugh, if stop @ above 512k (large value), it could be imc/memory related.

& pls use minute = 1 for faster error detection... u don't wanna waste ya time waitin for same test for 15mins (default) rite?

if that's d case double check d error in prime, most likely those failed workers fail @ 512k or below.

u'll be surprised how well it will fare once d g sweet spot has been found. my advise is test how far it can go for dual w/ minimum volt increase. stop @ 3.8~4.0GHz coz that's d max for quad core unless u got a superb chip there. i use +2 for d 2 strongest cores, yas mite be diff.

then, proceed w/ 3 core, disable either core 2 or 3 (one at a time). try hittin 3.8~4.0GHz again w/ tri core, give what it takes to make it stable while fiddle around w/ acc for core 2 or 3 while leavin core 0 & 1 @ +2 or d preferred choice of ya core 0 & 1. then, disable d tested core & enable d other core usin same method. d purpose of this is to find d preferred acc value for those defective cores.

finally, enable all cores & keep those acc values for each core that u've found earlier on. all that remained are voltage pumpin + fine tuning. it mite not work for u but worth a try.

as for d temp issue, pls install easytune 6 (i supposed) from ya mobo cd, u'll have better idea what those temp referrin to. else pakai tembak aje... imo cpu temp should have d largest diff (min & max) if u start hwm b4 prime. nb min & max diff should not be as big, but not necessarily d lowest. case temp should be d lowest among all.

that was done on tri core leh bro...
