talk about HSBB use Fiber Optic, i don't think so Lightning attack Fiber Modem,
Advantage on Fiber Optic is no Lightning attack, because no electricity flow, so can play internet what ever hard lightning or normal lighting...
wow.. can run 24/7 =D

My dear, but don't forget if lightning stuck that fiber optics cable, it would damaged.

(central) or use existing Gateway? (central), i think TM make new Gateway (central) for HSBB, that's why some site inaccessible, maybe...

QUOTE(Anime4000 @ Mar 4 2010, 10:13 PM) how ever, Fiber Termination is no need power supply? Light is light and electric is electric. When comes to generate light, of course you need power, it so called repeater or gainer to do that, just repeat to keep them on same rate.

QUOTE(twL @ Mar 4 2010, 05:05 PM) i would like to know, if we have any contract with Streamyx, like Super Upgrade Deals, if we wanna upgrade to HSBB, is it possible? i plan to upgrade my current package, but don know want to choose super upgrade deals or blockbuster deals that only 1 year contract. or i have to pay RM350 later if i wanna upgrade to HSBB in the future. my location is pelangi damansara.. thank you. Since you are upgrading from old tech to new tech and the price may be higher or your contract will be renewed for another 2 years starting from the date of installation, who knows? I don think TM will stop you from contributing more than your currently have to, especially in $$$... To reduce the cost for installing HSBB also means longer contract This post has been edited by poh880: Mar 5 2010, 12:30 AM

QUOTE(Polytechnic @ Mar 4 2010, 11:50 PM) If only the Malay people become hard working enough and set up better lines in Johor Bahru JB always face telephone and broadband issue.. The underground lines never been fix since the gay earthquake... they only temporally stop the disconnections but it will still happen almost 3 times a week If only Polytechnic is smart enough not to spout nonsense like the above then Johor Bahru and Malaysia would be better. Added on March 5, 2010, 12:33 pmI can't wait for HSBB. I wonder if the IPTV will show the World Cup? Last year I terminated my Astro subscription when they revised the sports package fee. I've been streaming football matches.. but the experience is just not enough. I've been thinking of reconnecting Astro for the World Cup but if the IPTV can show it it'll be great!
