For people who received the letter from HSBB but nobody called, please call 1300881222 to register your package.

DO NOT call streamyx because they know NOTHING and will keep asking you to wait until the trial over also ask you to wait.

I just called the HSBB line and the customer service straight away explain to me about HSBB and registered my confirmation. Next week TM people should come to my house. Can't wait! laugh.gif

have you try use admin on username and leave password blank?

if not, refer back to the manual.
*
Saw the manual.. they gave a big box of stuff lol.

Username: admin
Password : telekom

TIPS: For smartphone users, please set your security method as WPA ONLY or WPA2 ONLY, do not put WPA/WPA2 or it will not detect.

Speedtests will come soon.

Here is the upload speed using wireless on my laptop (the ping increased a little because of wireless):

Here is the singapore speed, notice the ping.

International ping is still too high. Browsing experience is almost the same with streamyx with this kind of ping.

Here's a single download from Apple.

Here are 3 same downloads from Apple. It seems that each download has a speed cap.

I will do a RS one soon, but I don't have Premium account so can only do one download.

Local, bandwidth hungry sites like digi's website is much faster with HSBB. Browsing is just like browsing Lowyat forum.

im not too sure but maybe TM also considers the socio-economic status of areas they are implementing HSBB

take Taman Tun Dr Ismail, Bangsar, Subang Jaya and Shah Alam for example; these are wealthy and established towns, probably why they started here first.
*
Their reason is they provide privilege for areas that contribute the most to the nation's GDP.

Regarding HSBB pricing, we can't really compare ADSL and FTTH really. I mean, nobody in their right mind would get Dial-Up as it's too expensive and it's freaking 56K. Well, it's still in service today.

Currently having problem with HSBB, I think they're testing something. Some international sites are inaccessible.

Do not spread false rumors sweat.gif

Subang Jaya is under DAP and Selangor under PKR but still is the first batch to try HSBB.

The good thing about FTTH compared to ADSL is also its ping.

Streamyx is still getting about 30+ ping.
