i would like to know, if we have any contract with Streamyx, like Super Upgrade Deals, if we wanna upgrade to HSBB, is it possible? i plan to upgrade my current package, but don know want to choose super upgrade deals or blockbuster deals that only 1 year contract. or i have to pay RM350 later if i wanna upgrade to HSBB in the future.

my location is pelangi damansara..

thank you.

Since you are upgrading from old tech to new tech and the price may be higher or your contract will be renewed for another 2 years starting from the date of installation, who knows? rclxms.gif I don think TM will stop you from contributing more than your currently have to, especially in $$$... To reduce the cost for installing HSBB also means longer contract tongue.gif

can i ask a question?

if HSBB introduced 20mb ..the 20mb is for single user or they share the connection between user/in a same block?

Don worry, you will get what you applied. If you subscribe 20M, TM will ensure you get at least 80% of the maximum bandwidth. For VDSL2 with profile 30a (if TM used), the maximum you can get with single copper line will be 100M but 30M will be the avenge it can support for distance at 5KM.

same here.. even within 20m range, the connection not stable.

Even DLink Retail DIR-615 also unstable bcos the firmware have bugs. My DIR-655 also just fine after their released firmware version 1.33NA. Hope TM will work with DLink to always update their custom firmware as well.

change the setting to 20hz then u r done.. thats for my case la (now im at office cant guide u but give u a rough guide la haha)..  my router is like 10meters away from my pc.. last time can connect but cannot get into internet because of that.. now solved.. somehow the router is pahria.. ping not so stable and cannot modify the antenna cos cannot take out.. one piece one knn..

In 20Hz, you will get half of the maximum rate which will be 150M. In 40Hz, you will get 300M. It is only applied to wireless N. Wireless G users will get 54M. The problem is wireless get reboot by itself for an unknown reason.

I called their hotline around 2 hours ago.
I asked whether my current contract with Streamyx (combo account) will be converted to a new HSBB contract if I were to sign up for it. Much to my surprise, he said no. In other words, if I apply for HSBB, I'd still have to pay for my less than-a-year old Streamyx Combo account.

I doubt this is true... he must be a newbie.

Pasted from HSBB FAQ
# 29. If I were to switch to HSBB service, what will happen to my contact obligation on Streamyx?

* TM will waive any penalty imposed upon successful HSBB service activation.
