QUOTE(ahpek26 @ Mar 12 2010, 02:25 AM) theres a reason why the pricing is not yet revealed, its not gonna be cheap. the lowest it can go is definitely a bit more than current 4Mbps subscription which is more than RM160 (maybe in the RM180+ range for home users for the lowest package). not that cheap...but also not that expensive..(as Time..) and the setup fees should not amount to at least Rm500...plus with the setup fees and everything it will definitely deter non-tech savvy ppl who is already satisfied with their current broadband needs and saying why pay more for the same thing (check email, read news i.e. moderate internet usage). QUOTE(Anime4000 @ Mar 12 2010, 03:29 AM) so? you all saying March ~24 HSSB price, so i think at March expansive, but in June, it will cheap? existing streamyx..no..HSBB yes..plus, dose TM have more >10mbps? |

QUOTE(Calvin871989 @ Mar 13 2010, 01:46 AM) actually just having 5Mbps with no value added services is good for TM..since some ppl dont need the services..or the speed..so it gives them a small range of freedom in choosing packages..instead of just forcing the customers to pick a 10Mbps with all the value added services and having them complain about it later.. |

QUOTE(pengiranijam @ Mar 14 2010, 07:15 PM) wat Suk mean is that IPv6 is not compatible with IPv4 in terms that if a system is using IPv6 address..u cant ping it...if ur system does not support IPv6..for example.in windows XP, its using IPv4 and a server is using IPv6..u cant ping it even using the computer name..unless an IPv4 address is assigned to the port.in many cases.wat ppl do is they use IPv6 and then use a NAT-like device of some sort to map the server to an IPv4 address...or so i think.. |

QUOTE(pengiranijam @ Mar 14 2010, 11:33 PM) No, the IPv6 will not shown until IPv6 were commercial. later..but on the XP we cant be update coz we have keep it off the Internet..sensitive information..cant have internet..hahahhaIf you were on IPv6 you can read same level to the lowest level of IP. For some reason, IPv6 issue will solved with 1 updates patches from Microsoft for selected OS. Vista and later version of Microsoft already ready IPv6. |

QUOTE(Anime4000 @ Mar 16 2010, 02:46 PM) shared line means that one line in this case fiber cable is shared to multiple users and they get different IPs like how TM is now, while shared IP is like our standard home network where we have a router and multiple computers...and one IP.in short - shared line - multiple computers - multiple IP shared IP - multiple computers - one IP.. |

QUOTE(cropika @ Mar 23 2010, 02:41 PM) i think this- if hisamuddin or younger generation minister were to be in this multimedia ministry- things will change for the brighter. +90000no monopoly and this and that...rather than the old fags that had rule this ministry for ages google wont be coming here becoz there are no real advantages for it to come here..not to mention..our connection to singapore is quite good also..at times..so they dont need to come here.. |

in many cases..youtube is slow becoz the servers are alredi congested..which is why many ppl say when they change dns servers it gets faster coz opendns sends u to another server..and the so called "DNS Throttling" event occurs..which we would know is not true...how can dns throttle ppl..when it just resolves web addresses to IPs..
and i would liek to suggest that Tier 1 and T1 be separated...as they are different in many ways..and are not the same. |

QUOTE(boxsystem @ Mar 23 2010, 06:59 PM) we have TIME? Maxis? or even PutraNet years ago. in starhub packages...they advertise as 100Mbps...but they also state that 100Mbps is local while the real international speed is at 12Mbps...It is really funny when I encountered users of both StarHub and SingTel kept on complaining regarding "how fast" their connection to WoW servers and others. They even used to have 25Mbps plan which was scrapped. Even their Mio plan isn't so stable. Starhub? 100Mbps locally only. LOL. and they explain on why also.. i hope rtm1 or rtm2 covers the launch..coz i can only access there 2 channels overseas.. |

QUOTE(Mokuton @ Mar 23 2010, 07:39 PM) is it possible for us to pay every month without a contract? after 3-4 months the speed will drop and there will be a download limit (probably) so what is the point of making a year or 2 years contract? lol..most ISP in the world actually place caps...and would u rather pay for the any extra GB u use or would u want ur speed to drop?US, singapore, Japan..-------------------- i read in the news. in Turkey they put limit for fiber optic users. the reason is 'fairly usage policy' limits are; 10Mbps - 50GB download every month 50Mbps - 250GB 100Mbps - 500GB (every month) ah and if you exceed this amount, they turn your connection into 512Kbps xD crap isnt it? even with a 2Mbps connection you can download 500GBs~ every month. so why should i upgrade to HSBB if i have 4Mbps and 1TB~ download limit? QUOTE(tweiyang11 @ Mar 23 2010, 07:42 PM) maybe u can visit this website to watch... thanks..hopefully my office internet is smooth tomorrow...http://www.tm.com.my/connecting-you/digita...ges/teaser.aspx |
